My son is 7 months old and is on antibiotics again, i couldnt remember with my other 2 which age they began to have yogurt. my children are prone to getting yeast infections when they are on antibiotics and yogurt always seemed to help prevent it with my other 2. thanks in advance!
Thanks so much to everyone out there who answered my question it definetly helped. i started giving my son yogurt today and he loved it. so i am hoping that this helps with the yeast infections! all of your answers were very helpful and i appreciate it.

My pedi said 8 mos., but it's all a rough age. I think 7 mos. is a good time! Glad you tried it.
Hi A.,
Check out probiotics for infants at your local health food store.
Hope this helps. D.
Our pediatrician gave us the go-ahead for yogurt at six months. It was the only way my son would eat cereal, so I was glad that it didn't have the one year restriction like whole milk did. Just start it slow, like with any other new food . . .
You may want to try cutting sugar out of you and your kids diet to help with the yest infections.
I started my girls between 6-8 months with the YoBaby yogurt.
Ask your ped's office if it's OK to try it now. I always bought YoBaby for my son when he was small. He loved it. Also LaCreme Vanilla.
Hello A.!
It is fine to give your baby yogurt provided that he doesn't have a milk allergy. I would go with the whole milk, plain variety now. I use the stonyfield farm organic brand and serve to my daughter with a little bit of mashed banana!
Hi A., I started my girls all on yogurt as I started baby food when they were about 6 months old. Go for it! Best wishes.
My daughter was 7 months when I first gave her yogurt.
