Will someone please help me feel better about growing a "winter coat?"
For what it's worth, I do shave the important parts everyday. I just don't have time to shave my legs that often. Tell me I'm not alone.
every day in the shower, pits and legs from the knees down. slather on a little cheap conditioner, and it takes maybe 30 seconds.
but then, i don't shave 'the important parts' ever, if i'm understanding correctly what that means.
ETA, omg, i can't believe how seldom most of you do! i've got very thin blonde almost invisible leg hair but i can't abide the stubble.
and i'm DYING at nervy's cryptozoologists!

I shave my legs and pits when I feel like bothering with it. The guys I date haven't complained.
I don't shave pubes. I use a beard trimmer to remove enough bush to keep sex and flossing separate activities.
And NervyGirl wins the internet today for using the word "cryptozoologist!"

Every single day unless I don't get a shower like today because I'm sick and couldn't muster the energy to take one. I have blonde hair but it's insanely long and grows really fast. I hate it!

Wow - are Katrina A. and I the only ones who shave every day? I am quite hairy though. And if I have a day like today that I may not shower (it's too cold and I just can't seem to get out of bed) of course I don't shave. But my pits and legs I do just about every day.
What are the "important parts" that get it every day? Your hooha? Ingrown hairs would keep me from ever being able to go that route :)

I shave once a week on Sunday. One of the huge perks of being a natural blonde with baby fine hair (non-perks being having to fill in my eyebrows and I look like a snake without mascara). In the winter, I have been known to go two weeks on the legs. *gasp* Pits-once a week mandatory.

Once a week?
I have very pale leg hair, and I don't worry too much about it.
Even when I was younger, I wasn't that good about shaving on a regular basis. As my hubby always said, "If furry legs had bothered me, I'd have left a long time ago."
BTW.... we've been married for over 30 years.

You're not alone! From about mid-September until the beginning of shorts wearing weather (midApril) I don't shave unless absolutely needed--for example, if I have to wear a dress for a wedding. Other than that, no shaving for me! If my legs can't be seen, why bother?
To each her own.

When I feel like it in the winter and then every 2-3 days in the summer depending on when my legs and pits need a good shave. I don't get hair on my top legs as often as it comes in the bottom legs.

I shave my legs only for special events. I have very fine hair that's hard to see unless the light hits them from a certain angle.

What are the important parts? I go to the beach and swim a lot - I live in a warm climate, but I don't shave very often. Only when I notice they're really hairy! I don't bother with my bikini line - I wear miniswim minis from Lands End which covers up any stray hairs, and I'm not particularly hairy anyway.
I do my underarms maybe once a week.

Do you really want to know? I shave my calves and under pits every other day in the summer time. I shave the wooly mammoth legs (thighs) 2-3 times per summer. I trim/shave the hooha every couple of weeks.
The winter schedule is a little less vigorous. Under pits every other day, calves every 3-4 days. Wooly mammoth legs never in the winter and the hooha gets the same as summer schedule.
I hate shaving. But I hate prickly legs even more. Why do we punish ourselves so?!

From about April to October, I shave every other day. Otherwise I'd have Sasquatch legs and I don't want cryptozoologists following me around.
Otherwise, once the shorts go away, I don't shave my legs. I effing HATE shaving. My husband doesn't mind at all. I do the armpits since the hair there will trap bacteria and cause odor, but otherwise, I'm done until next year. If I want to wear a dress or skirt, I wear leggings underneath, or I get too cold anyway.

I only shave my legs for events honestly.
You do what you are comfortable with, that simple. My wife shaves every time she showers because she saids it makes her feel pretty. You do you.
As for 'important parts' those are a daily responsibility for me.

I shave my arm pits daily but only becuase if I don't then it will start to itch and I can't stand that feeling. They have to be 100% smooth. My legs I shave weekly. I have blonde hair and it just doesn't grow fast, so it's really not needed more than that

I used to shave my pits every day, legs every day to every other day in the summer and about once every 1-2 weeks in the winter. Bikini area got a trimming every 3 weeks.
But I am in the process of laser hair removal and I just did my 3rd treatment. I need to shave my legs once every 2-3 weeks, pits every 4 weeks, and bikini line not at all. Still need to trim up the overall area every 3 weeks. I still have another 3-5 treatments left and I'm aiming for a no shaving ever result. ;-)

I don't shave anymore, I use an epilator. In the winter I epilate about once a month, unless I am going swimming, to the doctor or wearing a dress. In the spring, summer and fall I epilate about once a week. I shave my pits every second day, but will go three or four days in the winter some times. When I did shave my legs I needed to shave every day or two in the summer, and in the winter I would only shave if I were swimming, wearing a dress, visiting the doctor or planning some sexy time.

As needed so I can wear shorts, without "scarring the normals". As you get older the hair growth slows down, so I am now having to shave about every 4th day, used to be every day!

Since I had laser hair removal about 14 years ago I shave the little peach fuzz I have in the spring and maybe a few times over the summer.
Before that I had to shave every other day and the hair was pretty thick.
When I took a break for a month after giving birth I could not believe how hairy my legs got.
I'm so glad I don't have to deal with it anymore.
It was worth every penny.

You're not alone. I shave only when needed in the winter. I just don't have time. Arm pits - every day, but legs, rarely (in the winter). If I had more time to myself, I would probably do better.

I am the weirdo who shaves her legs a little MORE during the winter. During the summer, unless I'm wearing a skirt, I only shave my legs on the weekends. During the winter, I wear socks and I hate how the socks will catch on my leg hair, so I shave a little more often. For work, I wear slacks and they don't seem to catch on the leg hair.
The hubby doesn't care if my legs are a little hairy. He's not a leg man. I do shave under my arms every time I shower, though. Can't stand any stubble there.
