Hi All,

How much is reasonable to pay a sitter that will be staying all day Saturday, Saturday night and until bedtime Sunday? We will have my mom here too, but she is unable to care for both kids all weekend without some help. I have a 5 and a 6 year old.

Thanks, A.

I would pay at least $100 but probably closer to $150.

It doesn't really matter that your mom would be there because it is still time that the sitter is on duty for you. You should ask her what she charges and if you think it is too much, suggest and compromise. Otherwise, you may not be able to get this sitter again. These things need to be negotiated beforehand.

I would agree with the post of at least $100 or close to $150. She is not just going to be there one day, it is really two days, and it also depends on how much you can pay her and if she agrees. Talk to her and ask her if you budget works for her.
Blessings

I was told to pay the regular hourly amount during the day then at night cut the hourly rate in half. Talk to the sitter and see what he/she prefers.
