Someone asked me if I can teach her my native language. How much I should charge? She is a PhD student, this is my 1st time teaching. She asked and I don't know how people bargainprice here.

For our daughters Math tutoring we paid between $50 to $60 for 2 hours.
I would tell her AT LEAST $25 an hour for 2 hours minimum per week. That way you will make at least $50 each time she comes to your house. I would not do it for less than that because you have to prepare lessons as well.

Is the student bringing you homework or do you have to prepare lessons to teach the student from the beginning?
