How Much for Sitting Twins?

What is the going rate for babysitting? I heard about $12 per hour. I have twins so would I offer $25 an hour? Also, my twins have the energy of 4 little boys so this person will be earning their pay.

The person I interviewed is not a teenie-bopper, she's a grandmom...about 50ish. She will most likely sit for us every other Sat on a permanent basis. She's already working for a friend with twin 2 year olds.

What can I do next?

Hello, When our girls were babies, we paid $20 per hour but now they are 15 mos we pay $10 per hour, that's how much our friends pay sitters for 2 kids that are not twins, so offered that and 2 girls we knew took it. Good luck, I know it's hard!

The going rate is approx $10-12 for a singleton and for twins it's at your own decretion. It really depends on what you are comfortable with and experience. I would say no more than $20 but tipping is ALWAYS appreciated.

I am also a mother/nanny/childcare provider/babysitter/certified medical assistant/certified night nanny and Always available and know what it's like to try to find the perfect one for you and your kids.

Good Luck and I hope this helps. You Always want to make sure that they can keep up w/your kids.

I would say 15 an hour is fine. If it is evening they will probably be in bed part of the time.
