How Long Have You Been a Mamapedia Member?

Less than two weeks! I can't believe I never knew about this site before; but I googled some random question and this site came up as one of the results, and I've been hooked ever since! I just wish I had known about it a long time ago.

I've changed my name a couple times (but kept the same account). Lame, I know:) I was "Proud M. B" a couple years ago.

I've been a member since October 2006 when it was Mamasource and things were 'local'. Man, I miss those days *sniffle*.

I think I've only been around here since Summer 2010.

I wish this was around when my kids were babies / toddlers in the late 90's early 00's! Of course, I can't figure out how any of you with young ones find time to get on this site and enjoy the give and take that goes on. I do especially like the fact that this site gathers opinions from moms from all walks of life, all over the country (some in other countries) and of all ages. I think it's a great thing for young moms to gain wisdom from old moms and for us older moms to get a younger mom's perspectives.

Most of the younger moms here could be my children had I had kids in my early 20's. But I waited to have kids so here I am at 51 with a kid in Middle school and another in High school... I like to think it keeps me young - and maybe it does!

Keeo going mamas - I love to see all the varied perspectives on life. The only thing I can say that i've noticed is that mother-in-laws are not as universally awful as many of the young moms here think. They just have a different way of doing things that is not at all like the way your family did things. Having had a couple of MILs over the years and watching my mom be a MIL, and women I've worked with, etc I can say that yes there are a few witches out there - but most are just being moms who love their sons. If you only have sons you have to set an example of how they should expect their wives to act towards you one day. What goes around, comes around. ;o)

I Have been hanging around here since late in 2008. I didn't realize it had been that long...I had to go and check my account info to find out.
I don't know how up to date my answers and suggestions are...since I am a Grandma now...but I do enjoy reading and sharing with everyone.

2006 w/ mammasource too

I've been a member since 2007 when I had my baby, but it was still Mamasource back then.

I went back and looked. LOL I joined in October of 2007 when I asked my first question. Back then it was Mamasource. (I miss Mamasource). I've asked a lot of questions since then! :)

2008 was when I asked my first question and I'm pretty sure I'd been on here several months... so I'm guessing since summer of 08 when it was mamasource. I dont know why everyone complains about it now, I guess because we now have the freedom to complain and whine and maybe we didnt back in the beginning? I cant even remember how it used to be... lol.
I remember seeing mamasource founder being interviewed on Oprah or something, and that's what made me look it up.

Since at least 2006. I think I liked Mamasource better too. I liked being connected more to local moms. But when Mamapedia came along, I stayed anyway.

Ive been on here since early 2007. I started hanging out on here all the time about a year ago. I didn't use to ever answer questions on Mamasource because I was a new mom and didn't usually have the answers. Now that its Mamapedia and we are all joined up I love the variety of topics and questions and the fact that they don't ALL pertain to parenting. I answer alot more now although still not nearly as many as some of you on here...I just love the access I have to sooo many different viewpoints and opinions :)

I don't remember. I started a LONG time ago on Mamasource. Love the site and info from all the moms.

I have been on here several years, but I just have to ask.... how do you all know exactly when you joined?? I couldn't even tell you the year, let alone the month. I was here when it was mamasource and loved it.

I think I started around 07 or 08. It was Mamasource then, and a relative turned me on to it.

July 2010 when I was debating moving in with my parents to save money while in college... I had such awesome sweet opinions and advice that I really stuck with this site. I had been looking for a mom site and this site is the most mature, not-trolling website I have run into.

I am not sure, I remember being call Mamasource too, but I guess less then 3 years since I start soon after my toddler born.
Some how I feel like I have being here for long time.

I think I signed up in mid- 08 when I got pregnant but didn't start reading stuff until late 09. I think when I signed up it was called mamasource, not sure though.
It took me along time to ask a question (and respond to posts) because when I started reading posts they were a lot of the questions I had on my mind...and I didn't feel I had any real advice for anyone.

I too started on mamasource, and it was probably in 2006 as well.

i was a mamasource mom too and in the year 2006!!! seems to be a good year!!!
