How Is It Possible That I Have a Senior in High School?

Where did the time go?

It seems like just yesterday I snapped a picture of him, in his adorable uniform, going off to first grade.

Moms of little ones - enjoy every moment because soon they will be gone. People told me the same thing and I didn't quite believe it.

God bless the class of 2012! And all our young people . . . they are our future.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thank you so much ladies - I enjoyed all your responses.

Don't laugh but I have yet to bring myself to watch Toy Story 3. I just can't bear it - the original Toy Story was one of my older son's favorite movies when he was little. I can still hear him singing "You got a friend in 'ne'" - "ne" was how he pronounced "me."

I know I will bawl my eyes out.

I think that the advice "It goes SO fast, enjoy it" was the only REAL, and GOOD parenting advice I've ever received--so true!

And obviously, you must have given birth at around 12 right? ;)

Congrats on your senior!

I'm right there with you. My daughter is class of 2013 and it seems like yesterday she was crawling around the house.

I am SO going to miss her when she leaves for college.

It goes by all too fast. Its a blink of an eye. Our baby graduated from HS so I totally understand. In my mind he should be about 12! Our daughter is 23. How the hell did that happen????

For the record, I can't read all of the responses. I have a kindergartner, and as much as I want her to be an awesome senior and go away for college, I will be a mess. And don't want to start weeping now!
Good luck to your senior!

You all just made me cry.
My 2nd baby is graduating, Class of 2012!!
I couldn't be more proud.
She keeps telling me it is her last Sept at home, this was her last Labor Day, it will be her last Halloween, etc.
She still tells me she loves me.

Understand completely. I have a 20 year old daughter in college. Time just flew by with her. Now of course I also have an 8 year old daughter and a 2 year old son. So I have it at both ends currently. I am really cherishing the time that I have with my two youngest because I too, know first hand how fast time flies. :)

Oh wow I feel the same way. I did not expect to have such strong mixed feelings about it. My older son is a senior this year, and my younger one will be a senior next year. This is happening way too fast! Since they are only a year apart, it is like bang-zoom-it's over M.-and that's it.
