Hi T., I also use the FITDAY program. I really like it. You can personaloze it and make changes and it works well with your excerise because you can track that too. Excerise and diet is the only way to lose it safely. If you aren't already tracking your calories, you may be surprised how many you are actually eating, even if it is "good" stuff. Hang in there, losing weight is hard for most of us. It takes a long time and it takes commitment. I am struggling too, you are not alone.
Check out Fitday.com, you can try the online version free, but you won't get the personalize calorie information unless you buy the software. It is only $20 though if you catch it on special. Good luck!
I've tried just about every diet out there. Then, I read the South Beach Diet book. It totally makes sense! Really, the only way to lose weight is to burn more calories than you eat. I use the FitDay program (fitday.com) and try to eat South Beach "friendly" foods.
Hello T.,
I also love the weight watchers program. I am on it and doing better than ever. If you ever need to talk message me. I also like to walk in my basement on cold days or the mall. My son and I like to do yoga together. I know how hard it is so please contact me anytime. I hope I could help. LOL!

I lost 60 pounds of baby weight a year after my daughter was born. It took me 5 months to the day after her first birthday party. I cut back on what I was eating, and most important, strictly limited sugars. Not just the stuff in my coffee, but any white food basically. No white bread, pasta, potatoes, or raw suger. I looked at the labels and did not eat any foods containing over 5 grams of sugars. You can research the food with the lowest glycemic index points, kinda eating like a diabetic. That's all I did, once your body adjusts to the low sugar, and high fiber, the pounds just come off. Oh yeah, the Dr approved this diet, more like a lifestyle choice!! Good Luck

Here is the 14 day Rapid weight loss plan from the Dr. Phil show. I lost over 100 lbs on that plan and I never felt better. As for exersice I do go for brisk walks in the morning and on a rainy or cold day I pop in a exercise DVD. Hope it helps.
Hi T.,
I would highly, highly recommend Weight Watchers, the online points system. I never felt comfortable going to the meetings and they are also more expensive than the online program. All you need is a computer to log your points daily and some strong self confidence and drive to make a change with your eating habits. I've done the program twice and have lost 20lbs each time. I didn't do much exercise either so it really was all based on changing my eating habits.
Good luck.
I am doing weight watcher right now and it really is not that much money i pay 12$ a week for my meeting and i have lopst i also have put on but that is b/c of my new meds and i thought that i couldnt join and take the baby but there are like some times up to 5 babys in my meeting and i joined with a friend she has lost 20lbs. I love it you dont have to buy there food you dont have to buy all this expensive stuff its easy too. I can eat anything i wamt and still lose weight. It works on a point system where depending on certin things you get so many points to eat aday and as long as you eat your points each day and you have 35 weekly extra to eat if you want you will lose weight. they also teach you how to eat more health and the health eating guidlines 2 dairys, 5 veg and/or fruit, 2 health oils, and 6 glasses a water aday. I hope this helps.
The ONLY thing that helped me lose baby weight was yoga. I started by educating myself. Find good books, DVD's and do research online. It feels good, as opposed to traditional no pain/no gain exercise. Plus it is so mentally refreshing and calming that your stress hormones lower. Stress hormones make it tough to lose weight. And you sleep better, another factor in weight loss.
I bought a nutrition/calorie counter and weighed or measured and wrote down everything that went into my mouth.
Drink water. NOT soda, not even diet soda- full of chemicals.
Educate yourself about nutrition and wellness and you will find that the weight will come off. As a mom, being healthy is the goal, not being skinny.
Good luck to you!
I would recommend exercising earlier in the day if it works for you - it helps get your metabolism woken up and moving so you burn more calories throughout the day. Also, be sure to eat breakfast ... for the same reason - it wakes up your system and gets your body to start burning instead of saving calories. Any kind of exercise that keeps you interested is good. You want to do something to get your heartrate up a bit. This time of year it's tough to go out walking, but you could head to the mall and do a few laps inside where it's warm and baby's in the stroller. Once the weather warms up, I love walking as a mom exercise - it's free and easy to do with little ones. Pushing the stroller gives a little extra resistance. You and the little one are out in the fresh air. You can change it up by taking different routes and it's a great learning time for your child. Talk to them about things you see and hear and smell. Most little ones are happy riding in the stroller if you keep moving and there is plenty to look at and if you are talking/singing with them. Great Mommy and Me time! You can start out for a short time and gradually lengthen it to make it more challenging (or find routes with more hills).
Back to food - I haven't ever really been one to get into a specific diet, but there are many good ones. Just try to think if it makes sense - if it doesn't, it's probably not good for you. Eating more small meals is another approach. Kind of along the line of eating breakfast to wake your digestive system, it keeps your system awake and going and burning calories continuously instead of just at 3 meals. You just have to remember to eat small portions of healthy snacks for those extra meals - a piece of fruit, some veggie sticks, yogurt, whole grain granola, etc.
I haven't tried the Special K thing, but I can relate to you. My youngest is now 2, but I gained 70 lbs with my oldest, who is now 4. And I guess maybe it depends on if you are predisposed to being overweight you know? I think it's a lot harder for some people to lose weight. BUT, I still hadn't lost any, or much of it, when she was around 9 months so I did excercise. I did Billy Blanks kick boxing vidoes and Windsor Pilates. I did it anytime I could. I know how hard it is to do things on a schedule with little ones. And since I really suck at dieting I sort of just said that I was not going to eat things I didn't need to. Like, I was ver aware of what I was eating, and when. I still ate cake and pasta, but really thinking about it made me eat it less and less. I don't really believe in a quick fix, just make a commitment to a healthier lifestyle for you and the baby! Keep your head up sister! It will come off if you try! ;)
