Hi, ladies. My adult autistic brother is ready to move to Pennsylvania to be with my mother. He will not leave without his two cats and his new tv. There are not any family members able/willing to drive him. I need suggestions on how to help him out. Thanks!

What can I do next?

YOu might want to contact the Autism Society of Collin County (ASCC) - they might have some suggestions.

It is wonderful that you are so campassionate toward his needs.

Good Luck!

I'm sure this would be one of your last choices, but is it possible for someone to meet you halfway between Dallas and Philly? Maybe go over spring break...gives you and the kids a chance to visit your mom?

Not an easy issue - I wish you the best in finding a workable solution.

Check Craig's List for Dallas and Philadelphia. Sometimes people post for getting or giving a ride.

Just realized you said Pennsylvania, not Philadelphia! Sorry about the mix-up.

How about flying him. Pay the extra fee for assistance (for him and cats) like you would for a child.

Ship the tv.

OR.............................

Hire someone to drive him that might be going in that direction.
