My husband wanted more options on places to look at.
We've found some great places in the Dallas area. But how about the FT Worth area?

What can I do next?

Ft. Worth over Dallas any old day!!! Ft. Worth is just a bit more "homey" than anything in Dallas- more laid back, less urban/ metropolitan- it just depends on you, if that is a plus or a minus. As a Ft. Worth girl, I love the shirts that say, "If I die in Dallas, drag my cold, dead body back to Ft. Worth! ;))

There are some great communities around here. North Ft. Worth/ Alliance corridor, North Richland Hills, Colleyville, Hurst, etc. If you have special needs kiddos at all, I reccommend you steer clear of Keller ISD, but the city is nice.

Just depends on what you're looking for.

You really have to figure out where his job is and circle an area out from there. Traffic going East or North from Ft. Worth in the morning is horrible and going West in the evenings is the same.... bad! So if the office is in Irving, don't move to Ft. Worth.

Dallas is a beautiful place, but Fort Worth seems friendlier. I have lived in both places and I feel as if Dallas is more for singles and youg marrieds while Fort Worth is more family oriented. The good part about living in Fort Worth is you get the down home feeling of Fort Worth, but you can always visit Dallas and the fun things they have to offer. We live in Fort Worth near Haltom City, Watauga and Keller. Check it out!

We live in Keller and just love it .... My husband works 2 miles away so traffic really isnt that big of a deal but it is the reason we moved up here. He was driving over 50 miles a day one way.

I moved to the Fort Worth area from California about a year and a half ago. Before I moved, I did my research. We decided on Keller, because of the School District. Keller ISD is one of the Best, if not THE Best school district. The only drawback, is that your property taxes will be a bit higher than some of the other areas. There are also several new homes being built in our area, and they are very reasonably priced. I don't know what your housing price range is, but I would definately recommend checking out this area. I have been very happy with the location and the schools. I hope this is a help. Let me know if you want any more info on the area.

Hi,

I personally like the Ft. Worth area just because things are not as spread out as in Dallas. But, traffic does get pretty congested in these 2 areas so you may want to consider the commute if your husband travels for work.

I live in Flower Mound, north of DFW which has many exemplary rated schools and things seem to be growing more north. If you need any other help please let me know.

I am a Realtor here and would be happy to show you around the different areas if your not working with anyone yet. My number is ###-###-#### or email me areas your interested in and I can send you listings so you can compare what you can get for your money ____@____.com.

I am a SAHM of a 2 and 4 year old and am trying to pursue a Real Estate career that enables me to spend time with my kids.

Sincerely,
S. F.

We love living in Keller! It's a great, growing community! -- close enough to downtown FW for some nighlife, and also a great place to raise kiddos. I taught in Keller prior to having dd, and it was one of the best school districts I've worked with (out of several in the Dallas area). Every district will have it's negatives, of course. There are new homes being built constantly, and you're never too far from things you need.
Northwest ISD is also a very good school district... that's for the areas of Trophy Club and around there. I've also lived in various different areas of Dallas, so I have an idea about the other places... Email me if you need more info!
