Dish soap and water and sometimes baking soda. I don't have to worry about harsh chemicals around my kids.
What is your very best household cleaner and cloth. I mean the one that does not leave residue, wipes without streaks, smells good and works effectively to get rid of grease and grime. That would also be one I could use any part of the home.
Thanks for your help

I use vinegar and water for nearly everything. If there is a stain or a hard to get up spot on a hard surface - I just discovered The Barkeepers Friend - AMAZING. I had pots and pans that had burn marks in them - it made them look brand-new!!
Not sure about the smell, but I use white vinegar in a spray bottle (half vinegar, half water), I use for everything from washing vegetables to cleaning counters, mirrors, even soaking laundry.
I too use vinegar and water because it's inexpensive, all natural and works. You can put an essential oil in if the vinegar smell bothers you.
I also have bought Trader Joe's all purpose cleaner. I loved it, it cleaned my windows and mirrors with out streaking and had a nice cedar scent.
My go to that I LOVE is JR Watkins Aloe & Green Tea natural all purpose cleaner, I get it at Target in the natural cleaning section. This stuff does it all and then some!
I hate the smell of vinegar! Bleccch.
I love the Method Grapefruit All Purpose Cleaner on almost everything:

ETA: For paper towels, I am Viva loyal. Won't buy any other paper towels.
I love method kitchen cleaner (active ingredient is citric acid). like anything else, yeah if the kids lick it it's not good for them....but it won't give them cancer or anything. we use it on floors, windows (tho their window cleaner is *better* for windows, the kitchen stuff still does a good job without streaking), the table, countertops, to sterilise, scrub stuff off the paint, ......
Greenworks, a sponge and good-old-fashioned "elbow grease." I am so against solutions that promise to scrub for you because that usually means they are infused with some lung-membrane removing chemicals. Nothing replaces manual labor. Plus, Greenworks is plant-based and has a lovely scent!
I'm a fan of white vinegar and water, too. Also vinegar and baking soda for some stuff (removes odors). And Bon Ami for our ancient tub.
I use scrubby pads with the Bon Ami, cheap washclothes and Viva towels like One and Done. (I know, they're not great for the environment, but they do hold up better than some.) I don't think I could live with just one product, but all together, these are pretty inexpensive and don't have heavy chemical odor.
I agree with vinegar.
I use it to clean windows, mirrors, and floors.
For counter tops and grease I use baking soda and ivory soap I also use it on my shower floors and walls.
for scuff marks on your walls I use utra brite tooth paste.
Vinegar for all glass
Pine sol blue is a favorite of mine
Scrubbing bubbles
I love Clorox but it stinks.
I don't worry about the chemicals. To get enough to harm you, you'd have to practically inject into your bloodstream. Too much media hype about chemicals.
Well, I bought some of this stuff from a door to door salesperson years ago (I know, kinda scary, right?)... but it is AMAZING. You buy a bottle of concentrate, you get a plastic empty spraybottle, and you add a capful (or 2 oz or whatever, depending on what you are planning to use it for) and then fill the rest of the bottle with water.
It cleans EVERYTHING. Mirrors, walls, upholstered furniture even. Back when I bought it, we didn't have internet (I'm seriously talking 15 years ago or so)... but now that you can just look this stuff up online, I found I can get it on Amazon. It lasts forever, b/c you just refill a capful or two then add water and you have a whole bottle of cleaner.
I also like to use vinegar. :)

By the way, it's called USAdvanage cleaner, and I just remembered that I used to use it for carpet stains too. (I have gotten stingy with it since I am down to my last 2 oz). It works great. And when I use it for spots or spills on my sofa, it doesn't leave a watermark ring or do anything to the dye in the fabric. And my sofa is a rich green cloth.
Vinegar and an old washcloth
I use the purple rags that I bought from flylady.net. They are absolutely amazing - I get stuff clean with those rags and water.
