Could be newborn acne or a heat rash which is nothing to worry about but I always figure that with an infant that young it's better to put a call in to the doctor's office or the nurse line.
My one month old boy is always hot and sweating, especially when he is nursing or curled up on my chest asleep. I have taken his temp several times and he isn't running a feaver, but he has a pimply rash all over the back of his neck on his scalp and a little on his face. Is this from him sweating so much, and should I be worried about the amount of sweat?
Thanks ladies! I figured out the rash. I had to make a small change in my diet, unfortunatly it was one of my fave foods.... :( peanut butter! I went through the things I had eaten in the days prior to the rash showing up and the only thing that would cause an issue would be peanut butter. After a few days of no peanut butter, the rash has almost totally cleared up! No one ever told me to avoid peanut products while nursing, but it will be a sacrifice worth making for him!

could the rash be from something you are eating? try removing milk (the most common allergen) and/or gluten (also a very common allergen) from your diet and see if it makes a difference.
Our daughter was always hot, so am I.. I would just let her wear her diaper and a small very light tshirt most of the time.. Even in the winter, she would kick off blankets and be so sweaty, I just had to dress her very lightly..I always had a fan blowing on her, even in the winter..
Your boy could be like that also.. like a little furnace and not need socks and blankets. Speak wit the doctor about the rash..
It could be heat rash, allergic reaction to fabrics, detergents, soaps.. or a reaction to what you are eating.. They can guide you with all of it..
Completely normal. The pimples are just his body still acclimating to his environment and the sweating is that his metabolism runs high-especially since he's eating or sleeping and that he's a boy. My son (5 years old) STILL sweats when he sleeps! No worries, just keep a towel around and the rash usually doesn't reoccur after 3 months old.
Oh yes, my babies always got so hot and sweaty, especially during nursing. If he has lots of clothes on, remove some layers, maybe put on just a onesie. Babies overheat very easily and it can be dangerous for them. Just make sure the room is a comfortable temperature.
The rash could be heat rash, baby acne or something else, you can always call your nurse line at the pediatrician office.
Heat rash! My daughter got it ALL the time!!! Especially in the summer months! Just try to keep him in light clothing and out of the sun. Oatmeal baths helped with the rash!
