Wagon Wheel Ranch in Grapevine ###-###-####) or Skyline Ranch in Dallas ###-###-####) are the only two I know of. I don't remember which one but one of these you have to be at least 8 years old to ride the horses. Hope this helps..

My daughter is turning 7 next week, and all she has asked for is to go horseback riding! I have dropped the ball, and have no idea where to take her and her best friend, so I need some help! I was thinking of something like a guided trail ride that they could do for 30 minutes to an hour. She did this in Nashville over Spring Break and loved it, but I have no idea if there is anywhere to take her. My internet search is not helping a whole lot, and I am running out of time. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks a bunch for helping out ...again! ~A.~

http://www.awagonwheelranch.com/ Wagon wheel ranch is in Grapevine off Hwy 26, down the road from Grapevine Mills Mall. I think they still do trail rides. It's been awhile since I went. Have fun.
Might I recommend... http://www.agapefarms.com/
A friend of mine owns and runs this farm, where she provides camps, lessons, etc. She's great and she will match your daughter to the appropriate horse temperament. She has even provided a camp to the special needs kids that I work with!!!
I went to this place many, many years ago and as far as I know it's still open. It's called Samuel Farms in Mesquite off Beltline and Hwy 80. They had horseback riding and a petting zoo and admission was very cheap.
I went to a farm in Waxahachie for my son's 5th birthday. They had horseback riding. I can't remember the name of it, but my son did enjoy it. Wish I could be more helpful.
For trail rides, try Marshall Creek Ranch. They ride on trails around Lake Grapevine.
If you are interested in her taking a few private lessons, please call me.
I teach western lessons in Colleyville.

Park lane equstrian center. Or, north texas equstrian center.
THere is a place in Prosper off of First Street called Prospering Farms.
Hello, you may try the YMCA as they do it as a camp deal. I have no idea where they take them but it is a ranch. Also at Lewisville area called the Circle R Ranch I heard they eat out at a restraurant there and they have horses. It always looked private to me but others have told me. I know they do a huge 4th of July fire works there. It is close to the pumpkin farm.
A., check out the riding ranch in Corinth just passed Lake Dallas High School on Swisher Rd (FM 2181). Can't recall the name of it at this moment (I've been passing it almost daily for nearly 5 years!!LOL) I know of a few people who have used it for birthday parties and they also give lessons. If that's not quite what you are looking for, I'm sure they could point you in the direction you need.
Man I wish I could remember the name of it but there is a ranch right near Grapevine Mills mall that does horseback riding guides and it was a beautiful ride. There is also one in Benbrook. I believe the road it is on is 377.
If you are in Fort Worth, try Benbrook stables, they have rides around Benbrook lake. Have fun!
Try Frisco Horse Park on 121 & Coit or Barnyard Buddies off 75.

Hey A., not sure where you are, but I know there is a stable in Benbrook, just west of FW on 20. I don't know the name (sorry!) but maybe it's a start!
Try Benbrook Stables. Benbrookstables.com
You could try DallasEquestrian.com near McKinney!
I once had a company picnic at a ranch in Mesquite called the Double D. It was a wonderful place. They have horseback riding. I called this morning and there is an age limit of 10 and I believe it is $30 per horse with a two horse minimum. This ranch also offers paddleboats, a large meeting room, petting zoo, etc. They may have specials for birthday parties or group discounts. Here is their information.
