Horrible Breakouts Before Period

I've been having horrible breakouts before and during my period since having my 8 month old son. I've tried proactive, mary kay stuff, clinique etc, but nothing seems to work, I'm assuming because this is a hormone thing. I really don't want to get on an antibiotic or birth control just for acne so do ya'll have any other suggestions? Thanks :)

What can I do next?

me too! after dealing with this for year!!, I finally heard a dermatologist on the radio suggest to a caller Cetaphil. I thought I may as well try it since I'd tried everything else. It's inexpensive, it's at wal-mart, and it WORKED! Finally I have my normal skin back....wish I'd tried it years ago! good luck...hopefully it's a simple fix :)

Hi KA,
I am an Independent Shaklee Distributor and I use their skincare system and it is wonderful. My skin looks great and I think you would love it, but I also think you need a little help with your hormones. I also use a supplement called GLA that can help even your hormones out.

drink lots of water, avoid caffeine . . . I'm not sure what your daily food intake is like but take a look at what type of foods you are eating as well, maybe try eating a little more healthy (unless you already are). Mainly try to drink the full 64 oz of water daily.

Hi, my name is J. and do you have oily skin cus if so and you use anything with saclycic acid in it you will dry out your skin and create more oils to compensate for it. You want to try a oil free based product I could recommend some samples first to try it out and if you want to buy the product also Avon comes with a 100% gaurantee that if your not satisfied you get a refund. Check out my website www.youravon.com/arbygarrett and look up Mark products or if you would prefer to try out our clearskin line also very inexpensive. I recommend a cleanser, toner, and then a moisterizer. About $15-20 is all you spend. Phone # is ###-###-#### if you have any questions.

My first thought was low dose birth control but since we are talking hormones here, see a endocrinologist? Or see a dermatologist. There must be some reason you can counter that this came up post childbirth. (Wonder if they believe in yams which supposedly product a natural form of estrogen?)

Hello K A,

I have a natural hormone balancing cream. My company is botanically based and all of our products are contain no animal products or by-products plus has many more benefits.

The hormone balancing cream helps with all sort of issues related to hormonal imbalances like acne break outs, hot flashes, cramps and much more. I'd love to send you a flyer that has more info about the product. If you don't mind sending me your email address.

You can check out mywebsite at http://www.atterberrynation.myarbonne.com.

Thanks and I hope this info helps.

The ONLY thing that worked for me and eliminated the acne scars is Shaklee Enfuselle. And, I tried everything, including $100's of dollars at the dermatologist. I also take B-complex and acidodopholus along with using the skin care line; both help with acne.

Hi, I am another vote for Shaklee's skincare line, Enfuselle. It worked wonders for me, better than Proactive and gentle on the skin too. Added bonus: no more bleaching out of my clothes and bed linens! I used to have some acne and wear makeup all the time. Now I really don't care whether it's on or not--I think I look pretty much the same either way. Not bad for a girl who grew up with "bad skin"! It took away my oily skin problem too.

You can check it out at: http://gethealth.myshaklee.com/us/en/category.php?main_ca...
You have the opportunity to buy the whole system as a kit, or parts of it separately. If you decide to buy, please contact me first. I can show you how to get 15% off and possibly a free gift with the purchase. The skincare, like all Shaklee products, has a 100% satisfaction guarantee. If you try it for a couple of months and you feel it's not helping, you get a full refund.

I also suggest using Arbonne. The hormone balancing cream is awesome (they have 2 kinds) and also the Clear Advantage Line and you have to TAKE THE SUPPLEMENT too! I had this same problem during my 3rd pregnancy a couple of years ago & kept using it until recently I realized I didn't need it anymore. Good luck!
