Hoping to Switch Providers

We live in Saginaw and want to get away from Charter's high prices. We need high speed internet, cable and telephone. Has anyone switched to another company and been really happy with the prices and services provided? (Or has anyone switched and been terribly disappointed?) We know we can switch to AT&T and get all 3 for $99 per month ... we're just hoping to avoid the need for a receiver box on all 3 tv's. (We also left that company in the past because we felt as though customer service was awful.)

Any advice?

What can I do next?

I'm in Saginaw and use Dish for the TV and ATT for phone and internet. I've had no problems. I think you can get a combo through dish/att since they work together. I didn't go with ATT U-verse because of needing a box for each tv.

We had AT&T Uverse for a year and HATED every minute of it. Our DVR had to be replaced/repaired at least 4 times. The DVR box was constantly having to be re-set which would cause all of our recorded shows to vanish, sometimes it would just re-set itself, others we had to manually do so when it froze up. Also, the sound on the tv with the DVR would go out, sometimes for a few seconds- sometimes for a minute or more- extremely annoying (it did not do it before ATT nor has it done it since, so it was not the TV.) Customer service is in India- good luck getting through on the phone, email contact is just as worthless. Horrible, horrible service and quality all the way around. Good luck finding a provider!

Try Partnership Wireless for internet, I've had their service for about 4 years and have been very happy. www.pwhome.com

We have Dish Network for television, another good reliable service that we have been happy with.

We do not have a land line phone, so use cell service only, through AT&T (formerly Cingular) with no complaints.

Verizon is the only package service that I know of, most everyone that has the Verizon pkg service say they love it, but the initial set-up and installation took a bit of patience.

I live in Saginaw and went with AT&T Uverse, and I love it. We have wireless internet and are able to have the Wii hooked up to the internet. It has the DVR and the ability to watch recorded stuff from any TV. I understand about their customer service though, when I call I am put on hold and transferred. I don't know if there are other providers out there for our area.

I live off Boat Club near EML and we use One Source. They have done a good job for our phone, internet and cable. We also pay about $99 per month for all 3.

You can call Charter and ask them if they can lower your rates. We have done that in the past and they have always lowered ours.
