I am looking for a weight loss pill to try in conjunction with diet and exercise. I have been doing research online and found HOODIA 911. I was wondering if anyone knows of anyone that has tried it and of the results. I want something that will provide me with a boost in energy and appetite suppression. I used hydroxycut when I was younger and had results but they have changed the formula and it doesn't have the effect it used to.

What can I do next?

I suggest you look at the www.wikipedia.org article on hoodia. It seems that about half of the products on the market that say hoodia don't contain the active ingredient that suppresses appetite. That's because the plant is protected in most African countries. Pfeizer has been trying to manufacture a sythetic hoodia product without much success. They have found that is causes problems for the liver in their trials.

A poster here at momsource confirmed that when she said she ended up in the ER because of a hoodia product she was taking. She was responding to a question posted earlier about hoodia. Check the message board.

Bummer, because I was hoping it would work for me too!

Hi! I used to also use HydroxyCut back in the "old days". Now I am using a new weight loss line that has hoodia in it and A.C.T. Energy Drink. You can order them online at wholesale http://www.reducemyweightnow.com/ is a link with info about the weight loss products. There is actually some info about my 1st 60 days on the product on that page too.

Hi L.,
They took out the ephedra in the hydroxy cut. :-( My husband is a bodybuilder and he lived on ephedra.

I have had good luck with Hotrox by Thermogenic. My hubby recommended it to me and he is always reading up on supplements and diet aids. Like I said..he's a bodybuilder. He knows how to lose weight fast! :-)

Check out this article from about.com. I found it while I too was doing research on Hoodia. Remember to read the warning labels and consult with a doctor before taking any kind of supplement.

stick with a good diet rich in vegetables, excercise at least half an hour a day, and control your portions;you won't need commercialized "supplements" that are more than likely damaging to your body.
