cold and oh so yummy.. I love their ham... with some good mustard, what a GREAT sandwich it makes.. .
have fun!
To all you Honeybaked Hammers -So I have never bought a Honeybaked Ham before <gasp!>. I have a $25 gift card and an $8 off coupon that I will be putting towards my total (because there ain't no way in heck I can afford to pay full price). I don't normally do ham but decided to go ahead and try my childhood main course again this year. So here is my question and it may be silly:
When you pick HBH up at the actual store....is it hot or cold? I'm reading the coupon and it says "Because it is fully cooked and sliced all you have to do it bring it home, unwrap and enjoy"... I reserved a ham to be picked up on Good Friday have I already started to ruin Easter? :P

Friday pickup for Sunday dinner will be fine. Follow the directions they give you to a T. It will be cold at pickup. They are so tasty; you won't be disappointed.
cold. yes they are expensive.. but there are pounds and pounds of meat on there.. andyou can make wonderful pea soup from the bone.
It Will be cold. You just warm it up. We love hbh
Oh, no, Easter will be fine :) Your ham will be cold and have directions on how to warm it at home. They'll be super busy on Saturday, one year the line was so long my brother waited over an hour to get in to pick up an ordered ham ... in the rain. You were smart to reserve it for Good Friday.
It is cold. And they recommend serving it cold, but there are directions for heating it up. The one time I got it and served it heated (according to the directions) all the sugary coating, a.k.a. the best part, fell off. It was very disappointing.
Our grocery store has a seasonal honeybaked ham stand and I bought turkey there last week to use in sandwiches. There was a coupon taped to each one and I got a pound and a half of sliced turkey breast for under $9, far less than if I had gone to the deli and gotten the same amount.
It will be cold. All you have do do it warm it per the directions. Don't over warm it or the spiral ham slices dry out.
Key word for HBH? "WARM"!
Good luck!
They are cold, but take only a few hours to cook. I can do one for an evening meal and start it around 2:30 and done by 5:30 ish. Good luck
