I found some recipes for lip balm, body scrub, deodorant and body cream and I am going to attempt to make them. I am not crazy about some of the Ingredients in commercial products. Any advice when making these items? And do you know a good place to get the ingredients online? Such as beeswax, cocoa butter, containers, essential oils? I'd like good product but don't want to spend a fortune. TIA
Would anyone be as kind to share their recipes?

What can I do next?

It would be best to join some of the website groups for support on making these products. They usually have a list of good suppliers for all of the items that you are interested in making.

When you make these items, make sure that the time is right with NO babies (two or four legged) are under foot so that you do not lose your concentration. Get a small plastic container that can hold your pots, measuring spoons/bowls, separate from normal cooking. Include in this container a notebook of what you make so that you can repeat your product again. You may need to buy a small scale to measure your ingredients correctly

Welcome to the wonderful world of doing it yourself and enjoying the fruits of your labor.

PS Do as much reading as you can on what you want to make and get familiar with what you are doing. Post me if you need more info on body creams and soapmaking.

I purchase beeswax, butters and oils, and containers on amazon.com
I buy essential oils from Plant Therapy, as well as a few from Young Living.

Pinterest is a great resource for recipes. I use recipes I find there as a guide for making my own formulas, based on my likes and dislikes.

Good luck! I love making my own products!

I get beeswax from the craft store. When I make mine I melt the oils and was in a pint jar with the lid on in a pot with boiling water, that way I can keep shaking it around and then pore it straight into the deodorant or chap stick container (I saved old containers from our last store bought ones) and just keep reusing that same jar for the purpose.

I use a line of all natural products because I can't stand what's in the PHARMA products either. Don't have the time or money to do it myself but I applaud you for putting in the effort.

God bless!
