We always use whatever juice we have on hand. My kids have never complained about them. Usually I can't make them fast enough to keep up with the high demand.
I bought some popsicle molds & I want to make some popsicles. I haven't had a homemade one in 20+ yrs. I vaguely remember my mom making them with orange juice but I kinda recall them being more like orange flavored ice cubes than soft popsicle texture. Is there a special ingredient to soften them?

I don't know the exact answer that you are looking for, but my favorite recipe is:
1 Cup Boiling Water
1 Small box of Jell-O (Sugar-Free or Regular)
1/2 - 1 cup Yogurt ( I use whatever single serving flavor I have on hand)
1 small banana, smashed
Dissolve the Jell-O, stir in the yogurt & the banana, freeze until set. We change up the flavor of the Jell-O & the yogurt and substitute fruit to get the combination we want. They don't drip, it's awesome!
Good Luck!
I use Kool-Aid for mine....
I THINK you can put a cream in it to keep them soft...but I don't know for sure!!!
I use pureed fruit and yoghurt.
Hi,
I know what you are talking about, but I don't have an answer. However, I just opened up the Kraft site looking for something and saw these ice pops. Hope this helps!

I always made them with regular OJ they just turn out a little softer than store bought popsicles. You can use any juice you want and then the kids have a healthy vitamin packed "dessert"
Here's a recipe that I've used. The jell-o makes it a little softer so you can bite them.
1 pkg. Jello
1 pkg. unsweetened Kool-Aid
1 c. sugar
2 c. hot water
Mix well, then add 2 cups cold water. Stir and pour into popsicle molds. Freeze.
jello makes for some great Popsicles! You can also add gelatin to the liquid (follow the directions) so they are softer. Also pudding is AWESOME. Make instant pudding and pour into mold. Freeze and eat. Since both are semi solids at warmer temperatures they drip less too!
We used jell-o in ours as well.
We use juice, kool-aid, and the rare special yogurt pops my kids LOVE.
We just use Juicy Juice. My kids like the hard texture. Usually they can't finish a whole one in one sitting though. I think you can make yogurt pops. I bet those would be good!
I make smoothies with juice, fruit and yogurt - any variety. You can drink it like a smoothie and/or freeze into great popsicles! So I make a blendar full, fill up the molds and give the kids the leftovers in cups to drink! The yogurt keeps it softer.
