Hi to all you moms at there! I have what may sound like a stupid question. But here it goes. Do any of you know how to make your own flavored cream for coffee? I was wondering if it would be just milk or half & half with some vanilla extract and some vanilla sugar, regular sugar, brown sugar or maybe with some cinnamon sugar. I'm just not sure so any of your ideas and thoughts would help. Thanks!

What can I do next?

Not a dumb question :-) I don't own a coffemaker but I would make a cup of instant coffee, then add alot of milk and some Nescafe Mocha Syrup (I find it at Jewel, Dominicks doesn't carry it.) It's in the coffee isle. I'm not wild about the taste of regular black coffee and the mocha and milk would cut the bitterness and give it some flavor. Nice warm drink for the winter :-)

You can add the flavored syrups to half and half. You can buy them at any grocery store. I actually buy mine from Starbucks. I just go through the drive though and buy the BIG bottles for under $10.00 - they last a long time and they have all the flavors.

Enjoy!

I have made homemade creamer before- using sweetened condensed milk and cocoa powder and almond flavoring. You have to mix it really well (the cocoa powder is stubborn!)It will keep for about a week in the refridgerator.

I don't know about flavored cream, but I often will put a couple teaspoons of cinammon or hot chocolate powder with the coffee grounds to change the flavor of the coffee itself. Cheers.

It's not a stupid question; I do a couple of different things (use to, I just rid coffee out of my diet); vanilla flavored almond or rice milk, with half tsp of vanilla and agave nectar syrup. I've used cocoa powder with vanilla, brown sugar and rice/almond milk or chocolate syrup with milk. Brown sugar is good in coffee as well as honey. Sprinkled cinnamon is also great anytime. You'll have to play around, but you can use any extract, almond, vanilla, butter pecan with your choice of milk and any sweetener such as brown sugar, honey or agave nectar syrup. Or I would make a smoothie and put a half cup of coffee in it (now that is good!)

Have fun!
