Homemade Detergent for HE & Automatic Dish Soap

Laundry soap?
I used 1 cup grated Zote soap, 1/2 cup Borax, 1/2 cup soda wash and 1/2 of Baking soda to soften the water. You use one tablespoon per normal load or 2 tablespoons for a heavy load. There is no detergent so no suds are seen during the wash. It's less then a penny per load to use. Smells great too. I hang mine out in the air to dry.
Sorry don't have an automatic dish detergent but you can buy a large one at Sam's and it should last you over a year to use up. You don't have to fill up the tray as most of us think. You should only have to use alittle less than 1 tablespoon per load.
I also use vinegar instead of Jet Dry for my rinse cycle.

I don't have info on homemade, but I can say that I use Shaklee's laundry products and they are not only safe, but they are very long lasting (224 loads) and have helped my kids with ezema. I have a great DVD about there cleaning products that I can send you with a free Healthy Kids and Healthy Women's book if you send me your info. These are great resources if you want them.

Where I buy my laundry detergent, they have a special detergent just for HE washers and they are safe. No toxins or chemicals...the dishwasher detergent is safe too...They both work awesome!!! In fact, all of their products are safe and healthy..."green" and biodegradeable.
