I am currently in the field of law enforcement w/ the federal government. I am getting tired of the hours and there's always the possibility that something could go wrong and I could get hurt or killed. I am seeking some sort of home employment to where I could get rid of daycare for my lovely 17 month old daughter and 9 year old step son. I have a college degree and am NOT interested in selling anything. I am NOT interested in throwing home parties. Is there something out there for me that would also work my brain a little and not require me to sell, advertise products or host home parties? Not interested in Arbonne, Avon, Mary Kay or Ameriplan.

When you say "sell" are you referring specifically to the Mary Kay, Arbonne and other door-to-door sales? The reason I ask is because I started my own thing in January and it is going to start to get really busy and I am going to be needing a few eager people who are wanting to work from home a few hours each day. My opportunity is sales related but not the Mary Kay, Arbonne and others.
This is more along the lines of telemarketing but not even really that. I am going to need people who are out going and personable and not afraid to pick up the phone and ask the businesses a few questions. I am working with software resellers who have lists of companies that might be in the market to upgrade their software and I need people to call out on these lists, ask a few questions and at the end of the day let me know if there are any people interested.
You would be considered a subcontractor and would receive a 1099 at the end of the year and therefore be responsible fro your own taxes. The companies that need to be called are mostly on the East coat and therefore you would need to have unlimited long distance calling. I went and got my phone service through Vonage. It allows me to call anywhere in the US for a flat rate each month. This opportunity pays $10.00.
