I have no idea what to dress my 21 month old daughter for Halloween!! I love the holiday but, I don't have a creative bone in my body. When we go shopping it seems as though she could care less about the costumes, she is more into the scary masks(I feel she is to young for a mask)!!! Can you all share some of your ideas, or provide some suggestions??

What can I do next?

My son has always been pretty opinionated about what he wants to be. But I have found really great cheap costumes at GoodWill. This year we got a tigger costume for $5 in perfect shape.

The costume rack right now has lots of options. When my son was that old I dressed him as a pumpkin with orange sweats, orange sweatshirt and a green jack-o-lantern face. He was very cute and warm, and could run around in it. He wore it regularly until the elastic on the pants stretched out too much and he outgrew the sweatshirt.

Hi there! Oh I can't wait till I have a little one to dress up for Halloween. Hopefully by next Halloween we will have a little one. ( we are getting very ready to start. ;o)I am BIG into the holiday since it is my birthday & I've always loved to dress up myself! Here is a great website that has some pretty reasonably priced kids costumes with a specific section for infants & toddlers. They have quite a big selection with lots of origional ideas ( I bought my neice & you won't even have to fight the White Tiger outfit & her Mom is saving it for her son to wear next year as well. http://www.buycostumes.com/productgridview.aspx?pCatID=Ch...
I wouldn't at all reccomend putting any kind of mask on your daughter at her age as I have heard about some children having problems breathing. I know they always warn against younger aged children wearing them on the news.
Also my never fail outfit for myself is a black cat... a leotard, or black sweats & turtleneck always work great. Pick up a pair of ears & a tail at the Halloween Superstore for less than $10 & you've got a costume for years! A little black eyeliner on the nose & cheeks for wiskers & you got yourself an adorable little kitten. Good Luck!
Hope that helps!
Happy Halloween =^..^=

Last year my daughter was Pebbbles she has the fire red hair and there was just enough to pull up and put in a white crayon as the bone

you dont really have to be creative go with something she likes to do like if she likes to take baths (most kids do)

you could paint a box white and cut out the bottom put her in a light blue leotard and tape blue and white ballons to her and she can be bubbles in the bath tub

Last year I dressed my almost 2 1/2 year old as a cat. I just bought her some black pants, shirt, and sweatshirt and bought a set of ears (headband) and tail from a craft store. I sewed the tail on...I'm SO not a seamstress- I sewed it on at the last minute and when I held up the pants realized I had sewn the tail onto the side, so it was like the tail was attached to the hip. But, it was quick to fix. I dabbed on some black facepaint to her nose and her cheeks for whiskers. Voila. Cheap, easy, and almost foolproof!

Good luck! You'll find something fun to do, I'm sure.

I bought my son a fantastic tigger costume at Target for $15. It is warm and soft. He cuddles it like a blanket. I got it a little big so he could wear it for a while and he has asked me to put it on him a few times. I like it because it is super cute and practical. He will be very warm as we journey around the neighborhood:). Good Luck!

I'd recommend that instead of looking for a costume your daughter is interested in or just randomly dressing her up as something cute, you try to base her costume on some other interest she has--maybe favorite animal, story, or character?

My son was about that age last year, and he, too, didn't care at all about the costumes. We ended up dressing him as a cat because at that point in time he was really into cats and "kitty" was his favorite word. He didn't care at all about the costume, but we dressed him up early and put him in front of the mirrow and said "look! you're a kitty!"...after that, he didn't want to take the costume off!

good luck--and at least you know she'll be adorable no matter what you choose!
