Candles, picture frames, and they have these things a bath and body that you plug into wall and they smell great. Good luck
Hi - Its our first holiday season here with a home and toddler in an MDO. I hear its traditional to thank the MDO teachers (classroom and music) as well as newspaper delivery, mail delivery, etc with gifts and/or tips.
What or how much is a good idea for each of these people?
thanks!

Hi P.! Since my mom, and nearly everyone else in my family are teachers, I thought I'd respond. :) Everyone on my gift list is getting Arbonne gifts this year. :) My son goes to preschool, so I'm giving his teachers little gift bags of various Arbonne products. Arbonne has wonderful smelling products - body butters, shimmering bath gels, sugar scrubs, aromatherapy, candles, etc. - and sells them in 3-5 packs of smaller product sizes. These are perfect to use in fun, little gift baskets or gift bags for everyone on your list! You can purchase cute bags and baskets, and little fillers like bath poufs, pedicure and manicure sets, etc. at the Dollar Store. And, it is extremely cost-effective because you can choose how many little products you want to put in each bag or basket depending on how much you want to spend on each person. I highly recommend the Ginger Citrus scent! It is to-die-for, and everyone I know who smells it, loves it! But, they also have Mandarin Cashmere, Luxurious Almond and Spiced Cider scents and many others! If you're interested, you can find Arbonne products at my website: www.mandyolsen.myarbonne.com. Also, I would recommend spending no more than $20-$25 on your teachers. Hope this helps! Good luck and happy holidays!

Gift cards are always great gifts. You can go online to get American Express Cards w/ "X" amount, North Park Mall gift cards, or Starbucks is always a hit.
When I was teaching I loved gift cards, personalized pictures w/ notes, coffee mug w/ chocolate or cider ingredients, and plants (like Debi's idea). I never ate any of the candy or junk made for me. I watch what I eat for one, but most certainly was afraid of what teenagers might put in it.
I never thought of giving to mail deliverer or newspaper person. Good to know;-)
I am a teacher and I appreciate any and all gifts given to me by my students and/or their parents. While I appreciate homemade food items, I sometimes felt a little weird eating homemade items from homes/kitchens that I wasn't familiar with. Maybe that's just me. :) I especially loved Visa or American Express gift cards with a sweet note attached. That way, I could treat myself to a little something. Just a thought!
I make fudge and put it in either pretty tins or boxes and give that to just about everybody! I use the "Fantasy Fudge" recipe on the back of the Marshmallow cream. If you add different flavors of chocolate chips you get different flavors of fudge.
Another teacher thing I have done is to get small planters and put a pretty plant or herb in it w/ a note saying "Thanks for helping Zane grow"
Hope this helps!
My daughter is almost 12 and jsut started middle school. The gift giving for teachers usually lasts through elementary school. Many teachers get loads of lotion, candles, etc. I try to be a little different and for the last 3 years my movie tickets have been a hit. Also, teachers have to buy a lot of their own supplies so I have given gift cards to bookstores as well as buying a box of supplies I know they will need (markers, pencils, construction paper) and wrap that up for them. Hope that helps.
