High Quality Liquid Vitamin Recommendations for Toddlers

Hi Ladies, I am looking for recommendations for a good multi-vitamin for my 27 month old son who is an extremely picky eater. He will not put a chewable vitamin or "gummy" into his mouth, so I need a liquid that I can add to the foods he will actually eat. Most of the liquids I've seen smell awful though (currently using Dr Greene's). I am hoping to find one that is easier to disguise. I most worry about the B Vitamins since he does not currently eat meat, eggs, cow’s milk, beans/legumes etc. I am already successful at incorporating enough Vitamin A, C, D etc into his diet. He is also taking Nordic Naturals Fish Oil and iFlora probiotics so I don't need his multi to contain DHA. Thanks for your input.

EDIT - I am looking for recommendations for non-shaklee/melaleuca vitamins. I want to be able to just buy the vitamins on line/local health store without becoming a member etc. I realize I can buy Melaleuca without the membership committment but its outrageously expensive that way...I was once a customer. Thanks again.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks Ladies. We tried the ChildLife and he takes it very easily. I picked this one because I knew of all the things he refuses to eat, he actually likes the flavor of mangoes :-)

Have you tried talking with a dietitian or other natural doctor(ie massage therapist- must be licensed, chiropractor). I have my degree in dietitics and would highly recommend speaking with someone local. I know my chiropractor sells liquid vitamins(personally I am a Melaleuca customer, but I know you don't want to go that route and wasn't going to mention it even before reading the edit due to you asking about the liquid form and not a chewable).GOOD LUCK
GOD BLESS

My daughter (16 months) takes Poly v sol. It's by enfamil. It's smells nasty but for whatever reason my daughter doesn't put up a fuss to take it. I got it at Walmart.

Our kids also had a recommendation for the Poly V Sol. I'd ask your pediatrician or pharmacist, though, what they recommend.

For instance, our kids are 25 months and almost 4 - our pediatrician has them both on only 1/2 chewable vitamin because of dosing and concern for side effects on some of the ingredients in higher quantities.

Good luck!

HI Michelle! I have given my kids the liquid multi from Metagenics (I bought it from my chiropractor, but you can order it online- just google Metagenics and you should find a site that sells it). Now my kids eat the Nordic Berries from Nordic Naturals.

There is a multi vitamin drink for kids from Ola Loa (sp?) I don't know how it tastes (it comes in a packet that you mix with water) but you can get it on www.vitacost.com

Good luck in your search!

I posted a vitamin question a couple months ago, and someone else recommended ChildLife Multivitamins and Minerals - it is a liquid that comes in orange/mango flavor. I ordered some on Amazon, and my son loves it. He takes it straight and asks for more. If you Google it or look on Amazon, you should find it.
