Hiding a Chest Freezer

when I had a chest freezer - it was in the garage.

The people we bought it from had it in their home, with a cover and a skirt over it - the top had an elastic band (she made it herself) so that she would not have to take anything off when trying to get into the freezer. The bottom was like the skirting you would see around a table at a function.

She never had to take a table cloth off to get into it.

I put mine in the basement, but I assume you probably don't have a basement in GA.

Paint it the same color as the wall.

assuming your speaking of a deep freezer??? can you put vinal stickers on it? or a nice table cloth. I would suggest some sort of sticky paper but my experience with that is not so grand after wear and tear. get the hot glue gun and stick millions of bottle caps on...or glass marbles...mosaic...ok kidding

We keep ours in the garage or basement or laundry room with the other eyesores.

A nice tablecloth, perhaps with a different fabric runner on top or a lace overlay. You don't say what else is around it or how you are trying to make it blend in. I wouldn't put anything cumbersome on it like a TV, but a big bowl of fresh fruit, a large basket of yarn (if you knit) or other supplies you use, or an arrangement of dried flowers would work - anything easy to move.

Ask the appliance store if there's anything you can attach to it - for example, a bulletin board or paint. I know you can't drill into it, but maybe those Command removable adhesives from 3M? You can attach hooks with those, then hang anything on them. Perhaps chalkboard paint, if it would adhere? That's why I said to ask about its surface. Then it can be a place for anyone to decorate it if you have kids or have talent yourself. I know a lot of people have a small blackboard on their kitchen counters and they write "Happy Spring" or "Welcome" on them, plus reminders.

What about wallpaper or a wallpaper border?

I have seen very cute vinyl wall stickers used on washers and dryers. Check pintrest.

Craft shows have fabric with elastic at the top sort of like a skirt, I am sure you can make one. You can make it any color that will go with the area you have it in.

Or decorate it with pictures or magnets? I have picture magnets, I get them made at walmart.

The cheapest and easiest way is to buy enough material to cover it up. If you need to sew it in a way that it covers it totally on the front and sides, and leaves it open most of the back, that would be optimal. Then when you need to use it, pull off the cover.
