Hey Eco Mama's. Need Some Advice on a Dusting Product.

Hey Mamas,
I long ago switched over all of my cleaning products to vinegar, baking soda, lemon juice, and hydrogen peroxide and Murphy's Oil Soap. I have YET to find a product to dust with. I use Murphy's to clean, but it doesn't really shine like I'd like. I'd love to get rid of my Plegde, but so far it is doing the job. Any suggestions?

So What Happened?

Thanks so much everyone for your helpful tips. I'm gonna check out the olive oil and lemon juice. Use them both all the time, just never thought of using something I stir fry my veggies in to shine my tables. General consensus is that it is good stuff, so I'll give it a try. Thanks again. HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY EVERYONE!

I just read in a magazine that olive oil is perfect for polishing furniture (this is out of the April/May Sara Lee magazine). You will only need about a teaspoon or so per room (according to the article).
* to freshen furniture while you polish simple add lemon peel or dried lavender spriggs to the oil. Let it sit for a day or two b4 using
*to make a heavier duty polish, mix together one part of olive oil, two parts fresh lemon juice and a drop or two of essential oil (if desired)
I don't know whether this will give you the shine you are looking for...

Try 1 tablespoon lemon oil mixed with 2 tablespoons of olive oil. It cleans and polishes.

I have heard others suggest using old dryer sheets. Once they have been through the dryer once, we usually throw them away. I was told the old sheets can be rubbed on surfaces to pick up dust and it is supposed to help repel dust.

I will only use a damp cloth diaper for dusting and it works fantastic. Make sure it's just damp enough to collect the dust and not wet or else you'll ruin your furniture.

I read somewhere that tea tree oil is good for a green way to dust furniture. Again, I just notices this in an article a while ago and never really read the thing...worth looking into.
