Help we are heading to family members cabin for the week. My daugher is 14 months old and sleeping in a crib currently. The cabin we are staying in does not have a crib and my in laws really do not want to ask around to borrow one. I beleive she is to long and big to sleep in a pack n play. Any options that REALLY work out there? Thanks gals

What can I do next?

She is to young for a aero toddler bed so I would say stick with a Pack N Play. I know you said she is to long for one but that is something she knows and it will keep her safe since she will not know where she is. My son was super tall for his age and did just fine in his Pack N Play until the age of 2.

Our kids sleep in tents we we travel. The little kids tents, usually come in princess or cars at least when we bought them. Keeps them contained yet fun at the same time. With a sleeping bag of course.

My daughter is two and still fits just fine in a pack in play.

Unless she is three feet tall then the PNP is the way to go.

I kept my oldest in the pack and play until he was sleeping in a big boy bed. I didn't want to mess up anything when we got back home, and he's very tall, and slept fine in the pack and play until about 2 1/2 (and that trip, I realized he was way too big for it). He now sleeps on the aerobed for kids which is fantastic, and I highly recommend it for the future, but if you use it now, you'll have a roaming little girl if she wakes up in the middle of the night, if she's not used to sleeping in a big bed... i suggest the pack and play.

We purchase a larger square pack n play for our son. We too were heading up to the cabin and he no longer slept very well in the normal sized one. He was almost 3 at the time, but for safety reason a pack n play was the best option. I found it on craigslist and thought we would just give it a try and it was WONDERFUL!!! I thought I would just sell it again when we were done with it, but its a keeper. He will be 4 in August and when we go up to the cabin again this year I think that we will be taking it with!
Here is a listing that is in Mayer/St. Louis Park

Another option is to try out nap time or even bedtime in the pack and play for a night or two. She may not mind the cozy little space at all! Have a great time up north!!

my son is really tall for his age and when he was around 14 months we bought the phil and ted travel bed (costco.com used to have them for $99). it's not as wide as a PNP but much longer. he slept better in that than he ever did in a PNP!

A pack n play is the only way to go :) and it serves double duty in case she needs a less bug free place to play with her toys.
