Ok...so I am hoping someone anyone can help me. My daughter is 2 years old. We have already started potty training, and she is wearing big girl panties. She wares them while we are at home with very few accidents, but when we go out (shopping or ect.) we put her in pull ups just in case she does have an accident. (In most cases she does really well.) We have only been doing this for about two weeks and on a bad day she will have maybe 3 accidents but otherwise she does really good. Today for example she has not had any.
Well she is still sleeping in a crib because otherwise she is all over the house at night. When we stated the potty training we were putting her in diapers while at nighttime, (she would take them off if they became wet) then we tryed the pull ups, now we go in there right before we go to sleep and she has taken off all of her clothes. No matter how many times we go to see if she needs to go to the bathroom. She constantly is in her crib with nothing on. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to solve this problem.

What can I do next?

Okay, I am sorry I just had to laugh!! Your daughter just wants to be free at night that's all. If she is staying dry all night long than there is no need for pull ups or diapers. My son just got fully potty trainned and he has been sleeping through the night without any accidents. My husband takes him to the bathroom several times at night and he stays sleep, uses the bathroom with no problem. When kids start a routine the adapt easier than we imagine. If her routine is to take off all her clothes than let her have at it as long as she is not wetting the bed. Get some extra padding and rubber sheets to keep the mattress clean and dry.

My twins have also started taking their clothes and daipers off. I put them in onesies, but they have to be the kind that have snaps in the collar. otherwise the onesie gets taken off. you might want to try putting a onesie on under her pj's. i hope this helps.

I can't give any first hand advice, since I did not really encounter this with my own children. That said though friends of mine had similar problems with their children taking off all of there clothes at night (and some during the day)and one thing they tried was cutting the feet of a sleeper that zips in the front and putting it on backward so that the child can not reach the zipper to take it off. Seemed to work well for most at night at least. As for the potty training, I'm working that issue myself. I'll let you know if I find a plan with outstanding results. :-)
Good luck!

This may have already been mentioned, but just in case...

we had the same problem with our son, who loved to get naked and then go to sleep. The only way we were able to solve this was to get the zip up jammies (the ones with feet), cut the feet off, then put him in them backwards (so the zipper was in the back).

We tried pinning the zipper shut, but he figured that out really fast and then I was worried about having an open safety pin in his crib.

Hope you find something that works for you,

Sorry, I don't have a suggestion to solve this. But at her age taking her clothes off like that is normal. We did the exact same thing with my daughter. She is just testing her learning skills of getting dressed. Now she knows how to take her clothes off she is needing to learn how to put them back on again. My daughter was the same way we could not keep clothes on her during the day though. We worked on how to put her clothes on and why we need to keep clothes on. Just make sure that you have a waterproof pad under her sheets at night for when she takes her diaper off at night and that her room is at a comfortable temp. She will eventually get to the point where she is not wetting at night and not undressing. Just give her time and lots of love and encouragement that she is doing well. Good luck

Put her in a one piece sleeper, the ones with the little feet in them, but but it on backwards. She probably won't be able to reach behind her back to unzip it. You could also try putting her in regular underpants and then taking her to the potty a couple of times during the night. Most kids won't really wake up completely, just carry her in, sit her on the potty, and her body will do what comes naturally, then take her back to bed. I did that with my daughter, but fortunately my daughter never peed at night, not even while she was a baby, she would always wake up with a dry diaper in the morning and would go shortly after we got her up. But I've had friends whose children didn't usually stay dry who tried the taking them to go potty during the night thing and it worked well for them. And I guess once she's able to stay dry, and if she still doesn't like to sleep in any clothes, it might be simpler to just let her sleep that way, she might just be more comfortable that way, but more than likely it's just a stage. Good luck.

if you are worried about your daughter being all over the house at night but want her to be in a big girl bed then you might want to try using a gate at the door, same basic principle as the crib but gives her a bit more room to roam, if you are afraid she'll fall out they provide barriers (at the bx for sure) which you can adjust that slip under the mattress.
it might be a way to get her to keep her clothes on at night too, introduce her to it as a big girl bed and tell her how big girls keep their clothes on at night, etc.
I personally am against wearing pullups or diapers after underwear has been introduced, I'm glad she still does well in them, and I know it provides a safety net for you, but she'll learn faster without. no liquids an hour or two before bedtime should help with night wets and have her potty right before bed.
good luck, and try not to limit your outings too much while training, grocery stores are used to these things (mine went twice at the commissary) and are usually very forgiving.
