Has anyone heard of or tried the Food Sense Program? I found it online and was thinkig of trying it out. My kids are very picky eaters, especially my 5 year old son. I am sure I created our issues but I am really trying to change our diet and I really need him to start trying new stuff and eat more than just pasta, pizza, cereal, toast, steak and oatmeal:)I am new to this site, so sorry if this topic is way over done

Give them each some of the new food to try. Tell them that if the eat the new food then they can have some of the foods they like. Give them more of the new food to eat than the foods they are only wanting to eat. If they refuse the new food know that they can also have some of the foods they like. Don't cave in & just give them the food they want or they will never change. Also if they refuse the new food tell them they are not eating then & do not cave in later. To eatting only what they want. You maybe have to refuse to cook the foods they want. And also once you are out of the hot dogs & etc. Do not buy more until your they eat the new foods.

Hi C.,
I never heard of the Food Sense Program so I'm anxious to see if anyone replies with experience with it. I checked it out after I read your post and it sounds interesting. I too have a 5 year old (girl) who only eats a few select food items, hardly any fruit or veggies. Actually, your kids eat more variety than my daughter. Thanks for the post and hopefully you'll get replies. K.

My kids get this for breakfast: http://liveitdontdiet.isagenix.com/us/en/isaleanshake.dhtml then i know they are covered for the day. Picky eaters are "picky" because they have developed bad habits and tastes. Introduce the nutrient shake for breakfast and in about a week, you will notice how their eating habits will change. My kids started on these shakes when they were 9 and 6. Both now have made their own choices about things...no more junk food, no fast food, no soda, home made pizza over take out - it is amzing what happens to our eating habits when we are fed properly in the AM.
