Help with Mom in Pain

My mom is having a lot of tingling, burning and stiffness in her Right hand and I bought several things to help but it hasn't helped and she needs a referral for a specialty doctor and thats months from now, any suggestions greatly appreciated.( she's diabetic)

sounds like carpel tunnel syndrome. Has she been checked for that? Her regular doctor could make the determination on that. If it is CT, then they usually send you for a test to determine how severe it is and also sometimes some physical therapy. The only cure is surgery on the hand/wrist to release the tention on the nerve. My own mom had the surgery on both hands (at different times). She's 53 and diabetic also. She said none of the meds or physical therapy came close to relieving the pain. Surgery fixed the problem completely and the surgery itself was no big deal. I would check that out. The only thing that helped at all was to limit use of the hand, wear one of those wrist/hand braces you can get CVS (especially at night to limit its movement) and sometimes Icing it at night. That got her through until the surgery. Best of luck to your mom.

Have you tried massage therapy?
I had needles & pins sensation in my fingers that were helped with neck, back & arm massage.

If she have CT. I heard that a Chiropractor can sometimes relieve issues with out surgery. Good Luck!
