I have a 6 month old baby boy who is constantly leaking out of his diapers during the night. He sleeps on his tummy mostly and so he wakes up soaked at 2 am. Right now he is wearing size 3 Pampers Cruisers. His weight and everything are appropriate for that size, but we have been getting up every night for the past few weeks changing a wet baby. Any suggestions would be great!

I have found that Luvs work the best. I also started out with Pampers, then tried Huggies and neither seemed to work as well as the Luvs do.

Hi S.,
I am not sure if they do anymore, but they used to sell inserts for heavy wetting times. I think Pampers made them and they are called overnights. Check the diaper aisle. My kids all liked to sleep on their tummies as babies and I always heard about how dangerous it is. If they can roll over, I can't see why it's still an issue. Good luck!

I always found Pampers inadequate and too heavily perfumed. Huggies worked for me -- the Goodnights diapers are industrial strength.

However, every baby has a differently shaped butt and every diaper has a slightly different fit. All the absorbancy in the world is of no use if the diaper doesn't conform to your baby's tush :-) The best thing to do is to try a bunch of different brands and see what works.

Pampers and Huggies fit differently, so if one isn't working, try the other. Luvs have a similar fit to Pampers, which isn't surprising since both are made by Procter & Gamble. However, there are different fits within a brand -- Huggies Supreme didn't fit quite right on my kids (but were better than Pampers and Luvs) but Huggies Ultratrim were excellent. There are lots of store brands out there and they're all a bit different. There's bound to be a diaper out there that will work for your son, but you may have to try a bunch before you find it.

Hi S.. I had the same problem with my son, and I really think it is the diaper. We used the same diapers for our son and he was always leaking over night. I have found 2 diapers that he has never once leaked in. They are LUVS and White Cloud from Walmart. You can also get the walmart ones at Sams, but they are called Smiles. I have tried every diaper. The pampers always leaked and I thought they smelled funny. Huggies never had enough butt coverage, so yucky stuff would leak. Grocery store diapers wre always too thin or too bulky( however Kroger dipaers are not too bad. We have had minimal leaking) So I found that LUVS were great. Then a friend told me about White Cloud/Smiles. I love them and if you get them at Sams you get a really great deal. Anyway, Good Luck. Email me if you want to..... ____@____.com
