So What Happened?

Thank you all so much for your help. My son found a picture that he liked and we made it. It turned out very cute. I want to give a special thanks to Denise Marie who also gave us a cake recipe and was lots of help. With her help she made my Son's project very special.

They wore the same things they did everyday. Just do a google image search for "traditional italian clothing" and use festive holiday colors and some sparkle. You could even make a gondolier with a Santa hat and red scarf. Same thing if you want to to do Mexican - think sombrero. I hope this helps :}

There's a website makingfriends.com that has some paper doll outfits you can look at to get some ideas.

I found this for traditional Italian Christmas clothing...
"Their traditional Christmas outfits for men are white long sleeve shirts with collars. On top of that shirt they wear a knitted brown vest with ragged lines on them. They top the final layer with a long, brown plaid coat."
There wasn't a picture but it seems pretty simple especially since it's a boy. Good luck! :)

Hi.

The santa claus in Italy is actually a woman that is in search of Jesus. Her name is Befana. Good Luck!

Hope this helps,

Wow...I considered this a personal challenge just to see what I could find on the net for you! LOL! I struck out in Italy. Sorry. Mexico was much easier.

Here are some websites for you to get some visuals:

This one shows a beautiful, embroidered, white dress that is traditional for the celebration of a Mexican Fiesta, church Kernez or December 12 - the Day of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

Here's a cheater thought for you....could you put the doll in a sleigh with a Santa? Kinda like a Dora's Christmas video?

I found this site informative (with pictures!):

I liked this picture, too! Very holiday-ish looking:

Best of luck!
