Either Smallcakes or Two Parts Sugar...Loved the two parts sugar haven't heard of it and you could always branch out to other sugary things! Also you could easily play into the "two" theme! How exciting Good LUCK!
After having a baking obsession for over 2 years, I've decided to officially start an in home business, and I am going to work on creating a website as well. One day even maybe open a shop??? I am going to specialize in cupcakes- mostly for kids birthday parties, business lunches, and I am doing my first cupcake tower in April for my aunts wedding, and I am so excited. My ultimate dream would be to get on TLC's cupcake wars. I wanted to get some opinions on a name for my deliciousness, and where better than here to ask women from all over the nation. I have some favorites here, so please tell me your favorite, and also please suggest something else if you have something pop into your mind.
H.'s Hobby
H.'s sweet spot
CupcakeRookie
Two parts sugar
Frost Me
Cupcakery
Smallcakes
Just an added note: I know the ohio laws and what type of license is needed to run a business out of my home :). All taken care of.

I like H.'s Hobby and Frost Me......The one that popped to mind was Exceptional Cupcakes........
Hope you find a name that you enjoy as much as baking.......Good Luck
I'm a baker too and wanted to toss this out-are you legally allowed to bake and sell from home in Ohio? I know it varies from state to state and even county to county. If you are going to have a website, selling for business lunches and getting the word out about your new venture and such you have to be very careful. I have a friend that got totally shut down in Texas for selling out of her home.
Good luck to you!
Just did a quick google search and there is a business with the name cupcakery that is located in 2 states with 5 locations so that one would be tough to use.
I found this on baking from home in Ohio:

Watch out using anything with R Us in the name. ToysRUs is not picky about going after the little guy too to protect "their" name.
Can you tell I've read a lot about this stuff. Used to be on cakecentral.com a lot and this topic comes up frequently.
CupCakery, Two Parts Sugar, and Small Cakes are all existing cupcake and baking businesses. From the remaining names, I like H.'s Sweet Spot the best! It's hard to sell food from your home where I live. Make sure you get the proper licenses and everything before you start, so you don't get shut down!
I hate to rain on your parade, but I just wanted to add some cautionary notes. In Illinois when opening a business (and maybe any state) you have to do (or have an attorney do) a copyright search on the name. Some businesses have copyrighted their names so you can't legally use them. The search usually takes a month I believe. My business partner has done one through his attorney. Also, in Illinois you can't just open a catering business in your home. You'd be subject to all sorts of health inspections and in Illinois you aren't allowed to prepare catering food in a non-designated kitchen -- meaning you can't just make food in your kitchen where you do other cooking and your family cooks and eats, etc. What if someone got sick and said it was from your food and sued you? Just be very careful and research all the angles with an attorney before doing this.
Love Smallcakes, Two Parts Sugar and Cupcakery......
I would suggest checking with a local attorney before starting/naming your business. Depending on your state's laws, you could be sued for using a company name that is already in use. Additionally, laws may exist requiring you to register the business name with a recorder or Secretary of State or some similar entity. And don't forget about a license and all that other fun stuff!
Good luck!
Smallcakes Sweet Shop
I like H.'s Sweet Spot sounds funny and racy at the same time. I certainly would walk into that store just to see what you're selling. Good luck on your business!
Hi H.B.,
Good luck and sound slike fun. I agree with the one response about business start up and asking a local attorney questions. A friend of mine starte a cake/cupcake/cookie business outta her house and needed various liscenses and health inspections etc.
In washington dc, there is a small cakes and cupcakery and I know they're expanding so I like Frost Me. I also say why not say CupcakeRookie? even when you're not a rookie it's still a cute name :)
My hubby likes Small Cakes,

Would you ever expand to cakes or just always cupcakes?
I love cupcakery!!! I think it is easy to remember, cute and to the point!! Love it!!
The only one you mentioned that I don't care for is cupcake rookie....what happens when you're not a rookie anymore? Would you change it.
Love two parts sugar. I also like H.'s sweet spot.
Searchability is a key, so you want cupcakes in the name. You want to describe what you do as specifically as possible. If you can be cute too, that's also fun.
cupcake-alicious.com? It's available as a domain name (godaddy.com).
Good luck!
I love Two Parts Sugar!
Good Luck!
:)
To me, H.'s Hobby does not sound "serious" enough, and H.'s Sweet Spot sounds somewhat sexual (sorry!). You would have to change Cupcake Rookie once you're no longer a rookie. Of the remaining choices, I like Two Parts Sugar - it sounds original and different. I also liked what you called your creations in your question, so how about "Deliciousness"? Good Luck whatever you decide!
I like Two Parts Sugar. You can add detail about what you specialize in in a tag line or on your website, but the name gives you lots of options for expanding your baking operation in the future should you decide to do that.
As for the others:
H.'s Hobby - sounds like you are admitting to being an amateur
H.'s sweet spot - sounds kinda naughty, haha! not sure you want to go for that
CupcakeRookie - same as #1
Two parts sugar - great!
Frost Me - meh... but 2nd choice of your options
Cupcakery - vaguely pretentious. Sort of expect to see "ye olde" in front of it :)
Smallcakes - boob reference? (maybe I have the dirty mind) but also too similar to "small potatoes," which you don't want to convey
Good luck!

H.'s Sweet Tooth
