It could be several things-uti, yeast infection, diaper rash.

But you need to drop the soda and strawberry milk immediately. There is absolutely no reason a 2 year old should have soda for any reason. My son is almost 6 and he's never even tasted soda. It has no nutritional value whatsoever for her. The strawberry milk is ok once in a while for a treat. Her primary liquids should be milk with meals, diluted juice (meaning more than half is water), and water.

What do you mean by "two two"????

stop the sodas and strawberry milk. A 2 year old should NOT be consuming that. It is full of junk and sugar. Junk food.

I am surprised the Doctor did not have her come in for an exam. I would get a 2nd opinion.

good luck,
Susan

Not sure what a two two is but she is consuming a lot of sugar, especially with the soda. This could be the problem.

Let her "air out" a much as possible. If she's still in diapers, lose them. Put regular cotton panties on her or nothing at all. Put her on the potty as much as possible. It doesn't matter if she's not "ready" for potty training, you need to make sure she's getting fresh air and cleaned immediately after going, both pee AND poop.
Hold her on the toilet and tell her it will help. If it burns when whe pees, she could have an exterior infection or a UTI.
Don't let her have bubble bath in the tub. Actually, getting in the shower with her would be better so there is no residue from soap or anything to irritate her.
No more soda! No more strawberry milk!
She needs to be drinking 100% juice or water. Lots of water! You need to make sure her system is getting flushed out.
If her pee is dark or smells bad, you need to consider the infection possibility. But it's hard to tell what's causing dark urine if she's drinking lots of different things.
If she is spoiled to sodas, try giving her "bubble water".
You can get two-litre jugs of it at Winco for less than a dollar. It's just seltzer water, carbonated water. No sugar in it at all. For years, that's what my kids thought soda was. They didn't even know about Pepsi or anything else. My kids love it plain, but you can squeeze some lemon or lime or even mix it with a little orange or cranberry juice for flavor. They used to sell it with the other soda beverages, but I've noticed some stores have it in the liquor section to be used with mixed drinks, I guess. I never used it for that.
But, it's a thousand times better than giving young children soda and you should really try it. For BOTH of your children.
There's just nothing good that can come from soda for a two year old, infection or not.

Your little girl needs as much clear liquids as you can get her to drink.
Watch for fever.
Air her out.
Check for external rash or redness.
Is she itchy?
Does it only hurt when she pees?

Keep track of these things in case it gets worse over the weekend and you have to take her in. They will ask.

I hope she gets better soon!

Take away the soda, give her cranberry juice, and give her yogurt. Little girls are more susceptible to UTI's than boys, so make sure she's clean "down below" after diaper changes or going potty, and stop using bubblebath if you are. Good luck.

maybe watch her sugar intake and cut out soda. you can replace the soda with sparkling water. it could just be a potty training thing too because my daughter would say her tummy hurt for a few days and it just meant she wanted to sit on the toilet and have a BM

When I was 3 I got a UTI. I had no idea what it was of course, and neither did my mom. It was excruciating, and I still remember it all these years later. She ended up taking me to the emergency room and they diagnosed it, gave me antibiotics and pain medicine which helped really quickly. It was caused by bubble bath! Girls aren't supposed to take bubble baths except VERY rarely as a treat. The soap gets up inside and kills the good bacteria, allowing the bad bacteria to take over. Antibacterial soap does that as well, if that's what she uses for baths. None of this may have anything to do with your daughter's issue, but just thought I'd put it out there just in case. Have her drink lots of water and cranberry juice too if she'll drink that, if you think it may be a UTI. If it gets worse you may have to take her to get checked.

She probably has a UTI. Cut out the carbonated drinks for a while - lots of water and cranberry juice. She needs to see a Dr the first time to make sure that's what it is. After that he will probably call something in for you and there are over the counter products that help with the pain.

If you are going to use Cranberry Juice, it is not going to help treat a UTI. It needs to be 100% juice, but it's really more to help prevent than treat.

Yogurt will help prevent a eyast infection but really won't touch a UTI.

I'd recommend increasing her intake of water (or water with a splash of any juice for taste), cut out the strawberry milk and to white as she still needs the fat in her diet.

She could have a yeast infection - it would have to be diagnosed. I'd recommend putting on a layer of some kind of diaper ointment (if she's still in diapers) to help protect the area from moisture.

I'm not a physician or nurse, but I do have 2 young kids. I would also recommend keeping an eye on blood in her urine. If you see any discoloration that you think might be blood, take her to an urgent care facility as it may indicate a kidney infection.

Good luck! I'd keep pressing the pediatrician as it's going to possibly be a LONG weekend.

Would you wait if your "two two" hurt. Tell the Doctor you want her seen today. Do not take no for an answer A.. No more soda or strawberry milk. Try Juices cut with water and mild with out adding anything. She may not like it at first but that to will pass. Yogurt is a great thing to eat. Give her some cut up fruit to eat with the yogurt. So yummy!

If she's complaining about it hurting when she pees, I'd guess bladder infection. You can look for blood in the urine, but you usually can't see it with your eyes. It needs to be looked at by a lab. Drinking all that sugar will help cause bladder infections (among lots of other bad things) because bacteria love to eat all that sugar in her body. It would really help you to cut out all soda and flavored milk. In fact, I would try to avoid even 100% juice too because it contains so much sugar as well, sometimes more than soda. The best way to get rid of a bladder infection is to drink lots of straight water to flush it out of her bladder and kidneys. If that doesn't work, antibiotics might be needed.
It could also be a yeast infection. Yeast also LOVE to eat sugar that we eat or drink. Eating yogurt will help that, but you have to make sure it is the right kind of yogurt with live active bacteria cultures in it (good bacteria eats yeast). Not that junky, sugary kids flavored yogurt. Yobaby yogurt is great, or Yobugs yogurt drinks. You can also make a cream to use on her by mixing equal amounts of nystatin (yeast infection cream), desitin (diaper rash cream), and hydrocortisone. If you put just regular diaper rash cream on a yeast infection, sometimes it makes it worse.
I agree with the others about getting into the doctor if it's already been a few days. Why wait more?

Sounds like she may have a yeast infection, especially with all the sugary drinks. Take her to her pediatrician.
