How do I know when she is really ready??
She pulls off her diaper dont like to be wet or dirty . I tried to put her in underwear we would go to the bathroom off and on but she didnt get the hang of this is what you do in the potty...

I have a son that is almost 4 and i just started training him but he got it in two days, so I know this might not help but another mamasource member told me that her husband stuck their son on backward facing the toilet. It worked for her and me also. I know you have a daughter so this may not work, but if your child doesnt like the little pottie this may work becasue they can actually see what is happening with their bodies. I think this is why the Backward thing works, but it may only work with boys, but who knows? I have also started keeping a chart in the bathroom with the day of the week and Washing hands, poopoo, peepee and flush, across the top of the days, so he can put stickers under what he did that potty trip. He isnt poop trained yet, but i just started this friday night and so far so good! Hope this Helps you! C.

Hello R.,
If she is pulling off her diaper when she is wet then the next time take and put her on the potty. She may just sit there and do nothing, but one of the times she might actually go...and when she does make a huge deal about it. even have her call a favorite aunt or grandparent to express the news. A special potty chair placed in the bathroom is best. That way she could read a book while she waits. You and she will both be able to see if she actually went potty. Make sure you don't put it in her bedroom though...both of my girls liked to empty it and made such a mess :) My girls are 8 and 6 and it worked for both of them. by the way love your name.
Hope it helps,
R.

maybe try a scheduled potty visit... sounds like it might be a pain i know but it could work.... try sitting her on the potty every hour... or try writing down the time everytime she goes in the diaper and see if you cant find a pattern. then start sitting her on the potty around those times.... try getting her poopoo in the potty first! and then the pee with just naturally come along with that.. or , lol... try some type of reward system like stickers ?! hope one of these helps you ! good luck.

has she ever seen anyone go to the potty,a female that is.she might be confused and not know what it is for.let her see you go and exsplain to her what you are doing then put her on the potty.take her out of the diapers at home and put her in underwear while she is at home.yes you will have actcidents, but that comes with the taritory.she wont like it and will be willing to go to the potty.

My daughter is 1 1/2 years old and she is doing the same thing. All i have been doing is putting her on the potty chair when i go to the bathroom. She doesnt always go on the potty but when she does I make a big deal out of it so she knows.
