Help- Selling Our House!

We just sold our house in October last year and everyone said there is NO way we would sell without the help of a realtor but we had to make all the money we could so we did everything we could(and too be honest was way more than a realtor would have done) and ended up selling by owner after 7 weeks. We used an MLS listing company: MLSworld.org and they charge $250 to list your home on MLS and then if a realtor brings a client to you you only have to pay half the comission!

I have been working with the best Realtor. Kelly Ekstrom. She is fabulous! And she's a Mamasource Mama. I know a realtor who will go above and beyond to sell your home. He is very honest and trustworthy. Write back if you'd like his contact info even if you just want to talk to him to get his expert opinion. It usually doesn't cost much to get out of a contract.

Recently, we enlisted the help of a Naperville realtor who has been fantastic! We've used him for 3 real-estate transactions in the past year and I would use him again in a heartbeat! A year ago he helped us sell an investment property in Minooka in about 2 months. Then in November he found us a brand new home in Plainfield in which we got a fantastic deal on and we are absolutely in love with it. We listed our old home in Bolingbrook with him in early January, knowing that it may take awhile to sell in today's market conditions. He helped us price it attractively (and yet at a very decent profit for us) and did a great job marketing it. We had an offer within 25 days and closed on it last week (about 7 weeks after initially going on the market). His rates are very competitive too! His name is Jamie West with ReMax of Naperville. We used Real Star Realty. I worked with the owner who is nice, but firm. It took us 6 months to sell our condo. Their rate is 3.9

Hi, I know who nerve racking it is to sell your house. We sold our house in Chgo in Sept. 06 with the help of a great realtor. We sold it in 6 weeks, she is a little rough around the edges, but, she is real aggressive with whatever she needs to sell your house and she really knows her biz, 30 years exp. She has her own small company, Kipp realty group in Chgo, not far from the Evanston border, but, she goes all over. I can get her info, if you need it, just drop me an email. I think she charged us 5%, maybe, but we used her for the buy and the sell, so it was a little less.
