And any video sites that teach it using visuals, even if just writing the answers. She is using ABEKA 6 at her school.

Also, how much would you pay a high school junior to tutor per hour if paying cash?

How about an online tutor? I didn't realize this, but apparently there are on line tutors who the kids can Skype with. I just learned about this because my brother's neighbor does it; she is a former teacher, very educated and very helpful to the kids. Look up universitytutor.com, mandy G

good luck!

I LOVE LOVE khanacademy... I am taking a math class myself and personally, I go on there to freshen up my Math Skills...
what's great about the site besides the fact that it's free is that if you don't understand something, they have visual tutorials... for EACH and ever math problem..
sometimes it's just a matter of how something is explained to you.. this is what I am finding out now at my local college... whereas in elementary school, math was very difficult for me.. with this college professor, she has made Math much more easy to digest, gotta say, so far I actually like it..

best to you and yours

Try YouTube-it's amazing! Type in a problem -you'll see how to work the problem with different values-Back in 1991, I paid a tutor $50/hr-she was not a student-her husband was a very successful attorney! Someone at school should be helping your child at no additional cost. It's...like....their ....job.

I agree with youtube...do a search on the subject she's working on. Also look on the right sidebar after your search results show...it shows other similar videos. I've always been able to find what i'm looking for.
