Greetings All!

Need some suggestions on what kind of contraption (seat, toy, stroller, etc..) I can buy that will keep my 14 month old, who is very active, still & occupied, while I bowl in my league. Any suggestions are appreciated greatly!!!

What can I do next?

Wow, I think it has all been said. A 14 month old's job is to be active! They need it to develop. I would say a babysitter or trade off nights away from the kids with your hubby or another couple with kids. You wathc their kids while they get a night away and then they do it for you. Where is the 4 yr old? Whoever is watching him can watch the younger one too...

You can't quite buy it, but it is for rent... A good babysitter!!! I have an incredibly active girl and learned not to even try and restrain her. Let us know if you come up with another good idea

good luck!! that age is just not going to stay still... you should get someone to babysit. when do you bowl for your league? I'm a home day care provider and although I'm not looking for any more full-time kids, I'd be willing to help you out if it fits in with my schedule. you can email me if you want. ____@____.com

I will get criticized for this but, I do not think your child should have to go bowling with you. 14 months is too young to expect a child to sit and wait or be self entertained for that length of time. Even if the other bowlers help you out, this is just not a good age to expect a good outcome.

I would suggest you trade out child care with someone, they watch your child during your bowling league and you trade out once a week for them to do their thing.

Putting your child in a position that she cannot be her own age is just too frustrating for the both of you.

You deserve this time away from the 4, 1, and 41 yr. old.

Hi A.,

I agree with Laurie. How about using the 41 year old to keep him occupied? Restraining an active 14 month old while you bowl sounds a bit cruel.
Good Luck!
