You're fine. My OB told me not to worry about anything I did prior to finding out. But to use lots of caution going forward.
Congrats!!
Hello all,
Please help!, I am freaking about birth defect and polyurethane.
My husband applied water-based polyurethane in the living room (about 400 sq ft) while I was in the room last week.
The smell still remained in next two days but I stayed in the house to clean up the mess (moved to new house) and now I am worrying about baby! I didn't have any headache or anything but the I could smell the fume for days.
I was 10 weeks into pregnancy and I didn't think it was a big deal but after I read Warning label on the container, it just scares me,
Am I overreacting? I am very worried...

Unless you DRANK the polyurethane, you're fine and so is baby.
Relax.
I would honestly think you will be okay. I would still let your doctor know, but i think you will be fine. :-)
I went through two healthy, normal pregnancies while working at a company that used solvents such as MEK, toluene, acetone, etc. You and baby will be just fine. Just be careful in the future.
Overreacting. You're fine. Baby is fine.
I believe you are over-reacting. If it makes you feel better, mention it to your Dr.
Please.... chill out and enjoy your pregnancy. Don't become paranoid at every little thing.
Best wishes for your successful, happy, pregnancy.
Your baby will be fine. Call your doctors office and talk to the nurse if you want reassurance though.
Do you still have the can? Can you read the warning labels and contact poison control? Call the number provided. Ask them.
It was my understanding that only oil based paints / lacquers, etc were potentially harmful. Not water based. So I think your fine.
The baby will be fine.
