So sorry to hear about your friend. I read on my Freecycle group page that the Red Cross can help with clothing and items needed, I believe some of them new. Best of luck and God Bless!
So my best friend just lost her home and everything she has ever owned. Her and her husband have three kids 14, 4 and 9 months. The 14yr old was not home so nothing was packed for him as they were tending to the two kids and animals. Everyone is ok, although they are very devasted as you can imagine. Any help or advise I can pass on would be great. I know there are alot of you mammas can help me with ideas to help them. I thank you in advance.
Thank you to all the mommas that responded, they have received an overwhelming response to their tragic loss. They have been at A.H. Community center all week getting help from all resources available. They have been provided enough clothing for now, unitl they get a temporary place to live. Until then they have limited space to keep all the donations. So I will keep you all updated as to when they can use some more support.

I have some baby (boy) clothes that I was getting ready to give away... do they need anything like that? What do they need right now?
Sincerely,
R.- Mom of 4, wanting to help another mom (family)
Wow, that's too bad. I'm so sorry to hear that. We're in AH so I can imagine what they're going through. Perhaps you could ask people to donate gift cards of various sorts. I've done that in the past for a family. I put together a gift basket and several people donated various gift cards - gas cards, sears, old navy, etc. And, we just filled the basket with gift cards. I'm glad to donate if other moms are. And, you could extend to your friends and anyone else you think would be willing to help. I'm sure even if it's $10 to the grocery, that would help.
So sorry to hear about your friends!! What size and type pf clothes does the 14 yr old wear? You can email me if you want.

They should contact their homeowners insurance company right away. The insurer should send out an adjuster who should be able to give them an advance check for living expenses (if they had that on their policy).
They should also contact the Red Cross. The Red Cross may be able to provide them with financial counseling resources.
You mentioned that the 14 year old is a boy. What genders are the 4 year old and the 9 month old?
Put out a list of what they need and us Mamasource friends can help you get them some stuff for them!!
