Help My Baby Is in Pain. :O(

Try letting him suck on ice.Don't give it to him, hold it so he doesn't swallow the ice(avoid choking).That used to ease my son.

At Wal Mart int he baby isle theres some teething tablets that I used with my kids that worked great. Try those.

Praise the Lord for HUMPHRIES. It is a small bottle of these little round pills that are basically sugar and some other things. There is about 100 or more in each small bottle so they last a long time. You can rub it right on their gums or stick it under their tongue and it will dissolve. They are amazing! I know that you can get them in the pharmacy section of Walmart or Walgreens. Just ask and they know what they are. Hope this helps.

J., I came up with something that helped my little one through the tough teething times that worked pretty good. I'm not exactly sure what it is called, it is a mesh bag that has a handle on it that can be screwed off to clean. I bought a pack of 2 from target for around $5. I filled it with frozen veggies or fruit, I'm not sure if it was the cold or that it just kept her occupied for a while!

Rub on some baby Orajel. Extra strength formula. :)

One thing that worked for my babies was cold melon slices. I would chop up some cantalope or whatever melon was on sale and put it in the refrigerator. Once it was cold, I'd give it to my kids and they loved it--something cold to numb their teeth, something tasty and soft to gnaw on, and a fun, big mess when allowed.

A lot of people have recommended Hyland's teething tablets to me and they seem to work pretty well. When he was little we'd hold them under his tongue to let them dissolve and then rub them on his gums, but now that he's 11-months-old the best we can do is to shove them in his mouth and hope he sucks on them before swallowing.

A lot of people have also recommended letting your baby suck on a cold, wet wash cloth or a piece of ice tied in the end of a sock.

Try ORAJEL! They don't like it at first, but it works wonders. You can also try freezing a wet wash cloth. My kids loved to suck on those more than the teething rings and they worked better as well. Good luck! Hang in there!!
P.S. When they all come in together you can expect they will all fall out together too. My son lost seven teeth last year, including the front ones.... just in time for Christmas! It was sooooooo cute!!! Tooth Fairy is broke!!!

definitely put orajel on his gums. one thing my kids both liked was i would put crushed ice in the center of a washcloth, then use a rubber band to keep the ice in the center and wet the outside a little bit. my kids would chew on that all day, it's much easier on the gums than a hard teething ring and the ice will numb the pain

try teething tables. when my daugther was that age i gave her baby oral gel. The only place i found the teething tables was walmart. i hope that helps. my daughters has four molars coming in and she has been very fussy and the teathing tables work.

Well i am a dental asst. And the best thing i would say is to use the teething rings , but make sure thay are cold. The coldness helps alot. I hope you try it and that it works for your baby!

I would first check with pediatrician that they're okay with this, but clove oil (you can find it at sprouts or Whole foods) is incredible for numbing dental pain. You just need to put a tiny, tiny amount on your finger and rub it on his gums. It worked for me when none of the other remedies would even touch the pain. There are homeopathic/more natural remedies for teething (e.g., Hylands Teething tablets) that you can find at Sprouts and Whole foods, as well. But, none of those worked for me, but perhaps would be worth trying for your baby.

If you would like an all natural approach try pure Vanilla Extract. This will numb the area, tastes good to the baby, and is all natural.

Hyland's teething tablets. They are a lifesaver! They work almost instantly. I think you can buy them at most grocery stores and pharmacies. I know our Kroger and Walmart Neighborhood Market sells them. We kept a bottle at home and one in the diaper bag.

I used the mesh feeders and put frozen fruit or just ice cubes in it and my kids would chomp on it with several refills. Messy but it worked.

What I have found taht works great is two things, one a cold pickle and green onions. The vinager in the pickles act as a numbing medicine and do the green onions. I know this sounds crazy, but my grandmother told me to try this with my oldest daughter and they both worked so well I also did it with my one whom is still teething. You can not use an old pickles just the dill kind. As for the green onion let them chew on the onion its self not the leafy stuff on the end. Beleive me both of those work wonders.

Baby orajel worked great for us. He also loved to suck on a super cold, almost frozen, damp wash cloth. It's a miserable time. I have also seen teething tablets at Wal-Greens on the baby sle that several people I know swear by.

You can give him so Orajel. Just make sure it's the baby one. You can also freeze oranges and give those to him. Another thing that works really well are those hard peppermint candies, put one in one of those mesh sock thingys you can find them at walmart target, I think Munchkin makes them. And let him go to town. There tons of other things too. Frozen waffles, or my daughters personal favorite are the pedialite popsicles, they're cold and feel good- plus they rehydrate all the fluid lost through the diareaah that comes with teething.Teething is rough. My daughter gets them 2-3 at a time. I swear orajel is the best thing I've found though. Hope some of this helps. Good luck.

Go the the health (usually by the organic stuff)food section at your grocery store and get the teething tablets. My son is four and I forgot the name brnd. But I think there is only one kind. They are really tiny and white. The dissolve when you put them in their mouth so there is no chance of choking on them. I think they are in a pink container. But they are called teehing tablets. The same brand carries other things- example stomach stuff etc. I always got mine at Randalls but they are pretty common everywhere. I am by no means a homeopathic organic type person but they did seem to work for my little boy. Good luck!!

This might sound odd but I used to freeze those little bagels and give them to my babies. They work better than the plastic teething rings at least they did for us. And of course the baby oragel worked well, especially the nighttime kind. Good luck!!!

I use to let my babies chew on a green onion. Sounds very strange, I know but it really did help.

Two things that worked for us are zilactin ( I think that's the right name) swabs and cold washcloths. The zilactin can be found at Walgreens and they are individually wrapped swabs that you can put directly on their gums and it helps to numb it. The other thing is freeze wet washclothes and then let your baby gnaw on them. They really help. HTH! Good luck!

My daughter loved those baby safe feeders. It's a little net that you stick fruit in so the baby can suck the fruit without choking on the fruit. Well, I put ice cubes in it and my daughter went nuts over it. I think it felt really good on her gums. You have to put a little water over the ice cubes first to get the melting started. Those little numbing things never worked for us. I've seen these feeders at Target and Babies R Us.

I know how is to have a little one in so much pain from teething. Have you tried teething tablets. You can find them in the baby section at Walmart. They are so easy to give them and dissolve quickly. I have these to my son when he was teething and they worked amazing. Hope this helps!

Try the Hylands Teething tablets. I found them at CVS or Walgreens and they worked wonders on my daughter. They are homeopathic and somehow whatever is in them really works.

Hyland's teething tablets are a life saver! I use them mostly during the day and then use the Motrin or Tylenol if needed during the night so he can sleep.

teething tablets work really well...found at target...they helped my twin sons when their teeth were all coming in at once...both of them had 6 teeth by 6 mos old...good luck, I know it's miserable watching your baby in pain like that

Teething tablets are a natural pill that really seemed to help my daughter. She had four teeth come in all at once. I am not sure why it works (we tried them) but it helped a bit. Also, frozen bagel bits is a nice switch from the teething ring.

There are some teething tablets in the baby aisle. I can't remember the name of them, but they are right by the orajel and stuff like that. These tablets are great. My granddaughter got 5 teeth in at one time and they really helped with her irritability and allowed her to sleep better. I love them.

I freeze pinapple in one of those mesh bags, you can get at Walmart or Target. Pinapple has a natural numbing agent. It can be a little sticky but seems to do the trick, plus the bath afterwards sooths her.

At Walgreen's and maybe even Walmart, you can get Highland's Teething Tablets. They are also like Humphrey's 3. You take three of the little tablets, dissolve them in a tiny bit of water on a spoon and feed them to the baby. More than likely, your baby will fall asleep right after, or if he doesn't fall asleep, he will be a lot more peaceful. My youngest used to grow several teeth at the time, and these tablets worked far better than baby orajel. Also, I don't know why, but my inlaws freeze green onions and give them to the baby to gnaw on claiming that the onion helps to numb the gums. My babies seemed to like it.

Alternate with Tylenol (lowest dose) and give him a wrung out wet washcloth to chew on. You can even freeze it and wait for it to thaw a bit. Though, he might want it room temp. Every baby is different about this. Also, try the topical numbing gels they have at walmart for the pain instead of the other meds to see if that is sufficient.

Hi - Frozen bananas are great for teething pain. Popcicles with the stick removed and a washcloth wrapped around the end are messy, but effective. Also, frozen yogurts are awesome. They aren't like a popcicle...they are like a tube of yogurt and you freeze them.

Hi, I'm not sure if others have already said this, but the Orajel Nighttime Formula combined with the Motrin worked best for my little guy when he was teething. I hope he feels better soon.

my 10 ,omth old is going through the same thing. Her favorite thing is a damp wash cloth in the freezer for 10 minutes. Feels good to her gums and catches the drool :)

Bless his heart I know that has to be misable for you both.I found at the pharmacy a pill called Humphreys They are a little white pill that you let dissolve in the mouth and I promise that was the best thing I had ever found I used them on my daughter who is 34 now and all 9 of my grandbbaies and they never had teething problems after that Your Pharmist should know what Im talking about.Good Luck and Happy Holidays

you can try baby orajel teething pain medicine. it really helps for sore gums due to teething. i would give him tylenol instead of motrin. hope it helps.

Teething tablets are WONDERFUL!! They're homeopathic, so there are no side effects. They are a little pricey, but I feel that it's totally worth it! I found mine at Walgreens. Good luck!!! :)

My son had a hard time cutting his teeth also and I felt so bad. I could not do anything other than the teething ring that he did not like and the Motrin, until my mom told me about the towel. What you need to do is get one of his soft washcloths get it wet and put it in the freezer for a little while until if get’s cold, then let him play with it. My son would play with it and put it in his mouth and it also helped with the fever. One thing I do not use is the teething gell, the doctor told me it does not help with the teeth coming out it only hardens the gums to make it worse. I hope this works for you!!!

They sell "Teething Tablets" at Walgreens (and I am sure you can find them at Walmart, CVS, etc...) that I used with my son that worked miracles! They come in a small bottle and I think (but not positive), that they they are just called Teething Tablets. Anyway, we used to joke that I could make a commercial for them, because I told everyone they were the best thing ever :o) Anyway give them a try and let me know if it works for you as good as it worked for me!! By the way, my sister used them with her kids too and she liked them as well. Hope this helps!
