Finger Nail Polish Remover should take it right off. My daughter colored herself with black sharpie and it took it right off.
My 3 year old painted himself and his brother with a black sharpie. This includes hair, skin (around the eyes) and all over there bodies! If anyone knows of a gentle way to clean them up please help!

Hello H.,
I am with the toothpaste thing... has always worked for me. Plus you will get some good follow-up pictures of the kids with paste all over them.
I have to say that this posting made me break into laughter. I say you take the same sharpie and write "PUT ME AWAY" on your husband's forehead. No need to share the toothpaste trick with him... bet he will never leave the markers out again! (For me it was shoe polish left out and a polka dotted room with matching bedspread, furniture, lamp shades, etc. was the result.)
I second rubbing alcohol.
It's like carpet though - test a small patch on the skin to make sure they don't have sensitive skin. But I'm sure you'll know if they have sensitive skin or not after seeing what permenant marker does.
My heart goes out to you!!
Good luck!
I have heard that if you rub toothpaste on it an let it sit for 2 minutes, then rub it off, that it will come off that way. Haven't tried it personally, but have heard several people say it works. Also, I read somewhere that Shout Wipes work. Good luck!
I hope you took lots of pictures, because although it may not seem funny now, it will be a hilarious memory later. And - amunition to blackmail the little artist when he's older! By the way - I loved your "About Me" description! Sounds like you already have a pretty good sense of humor about it. That's the best way to handle it!

I'm not sure, but I would try alcohol on a cotton swab.
call sharpie and find out what will remove it from skin
or you could try skin so soft from avon
Rubbing alcohol will take it all off.
Rubbing Alcohol removes permanent marker. Just put it on a washcloth and rub away! Good luck!
