Try Akinator and Donut Maker.
Go into your apps store and look under the category games and then family or kids. There is lots of free stuff to try out.
OK...So maybe I'm way behind in technology but what are the best things to put on this "thing". I'm really doing it buy trial and error. I've not had an ipod before so instead of wasting some of my time, I'd appreciate it you savvy Moms could point me in the right direction with what is a "must" and what is "fun".
Even pointers for myself would be great.
Thanks a tonne!
Well - what happened to Monday?
I've spent most of my day on my macbook and ipod!
Thanks to all - I don't know how I've survived so long without an Ipod.
We love Angry Birds, Angry Birds Rio and Talking Tom 2 so far......

My dd is also 6 and she loves angry birds, doodlejump, cut the rope, uno, doodlebuddy, and tic tac toe on the iPod. Most of these apps are either free or just cost $.99. She loves to listen to the kidzbop music which is nice because they change any lyrics that are inappropriate.
For myself I also play the uno game which is a lot of fun and I have my email and facebook apps on my iPod.
My daughter uses my iPad2 to play "Talking Tom" and "Cut the Rope"....I believe they are both free, we haven't paid for the upgraded versions and she has a lot of fun with them....and she just turned 7. Have fun!
Angry birds! My son is obsessed! LOL
