Lemon oil will get it out. It may take a little color with it, but it will be hardly noticeable. Good luck!
Hello ladies! Looking for some advice. My husband and i just found about a 3 inch mark of blue ink pen on our leather furniture- we assume from our 15 month old. I have no idea when this happened as i typically do not give her ink pens to play with-so i don't know. Needless to say- i know hairspray gets it out of clothes- dumb as it may sound- i did spray some on there- but to no avail- it is still there. Just wondering if anyone knew of any tricks that i may not yet know as a first-time mom! Thanks!
Thank you ladies! I can always count on all you mamasource moms to help me out! I will definitely be trying some of the things you all recommended- maybe in a place that isn't noticeable just in case it fades the leather! But i appreciate it- i am sure this is only the 1st of many messes to come! I appreciate all your help!

Try this. Take a q-tip dip into alcohol and on a hidden spot be carefull and wipe the ink off. alcohol removes ink and especially well if removed immediately. It may (not always) take off a little color, but find a close match with a marker and fill in. After that condition with a dab of vasoline rubbed on and off with a dry towel. Should come out fine. This works with permanent markers also.

If it is ballpoint ink, I don't know of anything. I had the same thing happen. B. Strong in Topeka, KS
Good Morning L., They are busy little minx aren't they. ;) I am not sure if it would work, but I am assuming you are talking about smooth leather and not the suede type leather. I have used Mr Clean Eraser on my wood furniture and cabinets, to remove markers. Find a place that won't show and rub lightly to see if it will discolor the furniture.
You could try the spray Oxy Stain remover also.
Best of everything to you and yours

Do not use a magic eraser!!! It will discolor the leather, know that from experience. My daughter took a ball point pen to my parents leather sofa and we tried hairspray, leather cleaner, whisky and every other remedy we could find online and nothing actually worked. It faded it a bit but didn't take it all away. We have noticed that as time goes on the pen marks are fading.
You know my daughter (child number 3) drew on our leather recliner with ink pen. Both my boys before her, never drew on anything. My daughter was 'gated' out of where our pens were but one day, I beleive I went into my room (to get dressed or something), and I come back and saw that my daughter had climbed onto the recliner and pushed the back part of the recliner down to make a bridge to where she could climb higher onto the back of the chair and reach a pen on a table on the other side of the gate! She marked up that chair so bad, I had to take a picture of it. LOL (laugh or cry) anyway, cream color recliner with black ink pen. Hmmm-mm, not good. I did, however, get it all off with the magic eraser. I should have been more careful using the magic eraser because it did take off (run down) some of the leather but no one can tell. Good Luck!
Hi L., Try Hairspray it worked on my furniture! Good Luck!
Use a magic eraser it will do the trick!
My daughter did the same thing on my leather seats in my car and i was told by a detail shop to try hairspray and if that did not work to use a magic eraser. I had to use the magic eraser and i was nervous about it but i did it very gently and it worked. Be careful but it is worth a try.
