My houscleaner (who was great) just quit to take an office manager job. I'm very happy for her, but I'm freaking out! I need someone reliable and affordable right away. I need them weekly in the mornings, and I would prefer them to use their own supplies. A team or duo would be best because I feel they are more efficient. If youlive in the Amarillo area and have any suggestions please let me know! TIA!!!

If you would like a individual instead of a company go to care.com. there they provide background checks and references. I am registered there and have found some great families to help! Good luck mama.

You could also try the Cleaning Authority or Merry Maids...

THey are a bit more pricey then your generic person, but there are no reliability issues, they do have thier own supplies AND they are insured. So if they get hurt, it is on the companies workman's comp. You won't get sued.

Regardless of your choice, good luck finding someone who works out for you!

Check Craigs List. Our friends found their housecleaner on there... and referred her to us and we love her! Just make sure to check references and insurance.

Around here, word of mouth is the way most house cleaners advertise. Can you ask your neighbors who they know?

I've always found my cleaning ladies through word of mouth (neighbors and friends). I have not had good luck historically with cleaning services - they are more expensive and tend not to be as detail-oriented as I'd like. Ask around at your kids' school, church, any neighbors you know... somebody will have a cleaning lady they love and can recommend.
