a couple of days ago we noticed some fruit flies near our sink, we think they may be coming from our drain...any suggestions on how to get rid of them? tia!
We had this problem not too long ago. I poured bleach down my kitchen sink and that worked for a while but noticed that they were also in the drain to our garden tub in the master bathroom which we never use! So I poured bleach in that and they went away. So make sure its not just your kitchen that they are coming from!

I flush my drains our with some baking soda and then pour some vinegar in the drain. It really cleans the pipes and is fun for the kids to watch it bubble up! Wait a few minutes and then rinse with some hot water.

We had this problem a few weeks back. We set out a glass of red wine and within 24 hours we had most all of them in the glass. Good luck. This was no fun.
We use bleach which usually helps alot. We thought they were coming from the drain last time, but they weren't. We had a bag of potatoes shoved in the back of the pantry! It was DISGUSTING!! check your pantry and shelves to make sure that there isn't a banana or something that got shoved behind something. Good luck, I hate those little things!
