Thank you so much for the great input. I would LOVE to narrow the list down to include so many other healthful factors. Perhaps together we can make a newer more improved list. Thanks again. C.

Hi C.,

I had saved your question from April because I was just getting started investigating high fructose corn syrup. I now know it is something I need to try and stay away from. Your list has been very helpful, thanks. We are slowly trying to buy foods without it also. I was wondering if you have an updated list or any other info that you could share with me. It's too late for me to check others responses to you or maybe I just don't know how. Thanks J.

There are some good choices on your list, but you need to read the ingredient list a little closer. There are things on your list that contain trans fats, artificial colorings & flavorings, and preservatives which impact your health. I am giving a speech this Saturday, May 3rd from noon to 1pm at Universal Spirit Yoga in Naperville on "How to Read Food Labels" which includes ingredient lists. I'm a Naturopathic Doctor and I can help you devise a better food list to get the most "bang" for your health!

Wow, that is a great list you've got going! I haven't had the chance to do that and I am definitely printing it!

You can add some of the Aunt Millie's products to your list. If you go to www.auntmillies.com and click on the Eat Healthy sunflower, then on "No HFCS" and then "No HFCS products" they'll give you a list of the items without HFCS. You can do the same for Whole Grains. It looks like many or all of the WG products are on the HFCS list. I'm not sure what your requirements to be on the list are so I hesitate to clearly state that they belong there.

I accidentally stumbled across the Aunt Millie's bread when it was on sale at Meijer, and we LOVE it. Even the whole wheat variety is soft enough that my kids will eat it with no complaining. (This is not true of the Pepperidge farm breads, sadly.) It is really all I will buy now as I figure it's a small way to get HFCS out of our diets.

Thanks again for the list and I hope that helps you add some more. :)

Hi C.,
I saw your post and I had to inform you of an awesome cutting edge company called Wildtree. I read you are trying to cut down your time at the grocery store. I started out as a customer and became a rep because I love the food so much. Since I started using Wildtree's products, I have spent LESS time at the grocery store and less time preparing meals. All of Wildtree's products are ALL Natural and contain NO dyes, msg, additives, preservatives, and are peanut FREE and they taste delicious! Most of the meals use only 2-3 ingredients to prepare! If you'd like a sample I'd be happy to bring you a sample for you to taste. The infused flavored grapeseed oils are absolutely delicious!

Naturally yours,

Kraft has come out with Whole Grain Mac & Cheese. My kids don't even notice the difference, however it is more expensive than the regular kind, but worth the money. Also,
Thomas's had whole grain bagels. Taste better than the regular. Thanks for the list!
