So I am sure I am not the first mom this has happened to. There was a blue crayon in my sons pocket and I dryed a whole load of laundry with it. How do I get the crayon out of the clothes. They are in the washer now with hot hot water and some shout but I am scared to look. How do I get them clean.

What can I do next?

Definitely not the first!! Ours was red crayon!

After many tries, my mom found Grandma's Secret Spot Remover. It only takes a little bit on each spot and it works great!!!

Take the piece of clothing that has the crayon all over it (hopefully it was just the pants) and lay them out on an old towel or something that you are okay with getting ruined. Spread out the area with the crayon onto the old towel, crayon part down on the towel and then take a hot iron and iron over the crayon till it transfers to the towel. This is almost guaranteed to work to get the wax off but you might not be so lucky about the stain that the blue crayon left behind. Good luck and let us know what happens!

The same exact thing happened to me last week! But it wasn't my son that put the crayon in his pocket it was my husband! jaja or as I like to call him my oldest son jajaja. He took the crayon away from my little niece that was trying to eat it and forgot that he left it in his pocket! Let me know what works please :)

I had the same problem with an orange crayon a couple of years ago. I got it out of some of the stuff, unfortunately it would not come out of the kids' school uniforms. I think it must have had something to do with the polyester fabric.

Just be sure you get the washer and the dryer all cleaned up! The last thing you want to do is have the wax spread all over your next load of laundry. I used a magic eraser to get it all out. It took a little elbow work but I got it all out.

I did that recently too. I went here and it really helped. I used Borax, Shout, laundry soap and Tide stain release. I had to do it a few times but I only had to throw out one thing.
