I am a single mother of 3 boys. I live in Carlsbad Ca and I am in need of some help for Christmas. This is my first time asking for some help and I am a bit embarrassed. I was layed off from my job about 2 months ago and I haven't been able to find a job yet. My boys are 10, 7 and 4. I don't know what I am going to do about their Christmas this year. My little son Jacob is so excited for Christmas this year. Jacob is a child so full of electric energy and spirit. He just lights up by the thought of Christmas and the look on his face and the excitement that is displayed everytiime we pass a house lit for the holidays is breathe taking. Although I don't teach my children to expect things for Christmas, they do need winter clothes and help with a tree. Anything or any resources that could help our family would be greatly appreciated. Please fill free to email me at ____@____.com or call me ###-###-#### I just don't know what to do and need help.

Hi J.,

I understand many people are in your position - very difficult times. Toys for Tots is something to look into. Also Google charity organizations in San Diego.

The job opportunty at the Toys R US sounds encouraging as well!

God bless!

Hi J.,
I offer 24 hour licensed child care and have another mom in the same situation, trying to provide a nice Christmas for her kids. She took a seasonal job and I care for her kids overnight, at no charge. I understand you live in Carlsbad but if interested you can contact me anytime. I know that the ToysRUs near me is hiring for 3rd shift right now.
take care,
R. ###-###-####

J.,
You are in my prayers, and God will provide.
These times are tough. I am also in the middle of a divorce and will be losing my job at the end of the year.
The hardest part is worrying about the impact on my two young daughers.
There are many wonderful people out there and I hope that you get connected with someone who can help boost your holiday joy this year.

There are many churches in your area that will help. Ask your pastor or some of the other pastors in the area. Plus, if you did that, you could become more involved in your church and get some support for yourself and your children. Best of luck to you.
